The Living Room at the W Toronto is easily one of my favourite lounges in the city. The atmosphere has excellent music and perfect lighting, making it feel alive but relaxed. The cocktails are top-tier (the mixologists know what they’re doing), and the small plates are creative and delicious, especially the Korean fried chicken! Yenzi, our server, was impeccable: attentive without being intrusive, and the team clearly cares about the guest experience. Whether you’re there for a casual drink, a date night, or to unwind after work, it’s the place that makes you want to stay a bit longer. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for an upscale yet comfortable spot with great energy and flawless execution.
I had the pleasure of attending a company function at The Living Room at the W Hotel Toronto, and the entire evening felt like something out of a film set. We were lucky enough to have half of the space reserved, with access to both the interior and the outdoor terrace. The inside was beautifully designed, modern, sleek, and inviting, with bold architectural lines, plush seating, and eye-catching lighting. It’s the kind of place that immediately sets the mood for a special evening. But stepping outside was where the magic really happened. The terrace was spectacular: long banquet tables dressed in black linens, set under elegant pergolas, surrounded by greenery. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between upscale sophistication and natural charm, creating a cinematic backdrop for dinner. The food was just as impressive as the setting. I ordered the braised beef short rib, and it was outstanding; fall-apart tender, with a rich sauce that paired beautifully with the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. The balance of fattiness and lean meat was spot on, and every bite was deeply flavorful. I also sampled the wild mushroom stuffed chicken breast, which was equally memorable: juicy, tender, and elevated by the truffle potato purée and spiced jus. Dessert closed the night on a high note. The apple tart was delicate yet decadent, paired with smooth sunchoke vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of dulce de leche that tied everything together. The entire evening showcased how The Living Room excels at combining luxurious design, impeccable ambiance, and refined cuisine. It’s not just a hotel lounge, it’s an experience. Whether you’re there for an intimate dinner, a cocktail with friends, or a large group gathering, this space leaves an impression you won’t forget.
The Guerlain theme afternoon tea was great for ladies outing! The chef read really creative in designing the sweets looking like Guerlain makeup! The dining area is spacious and very relaxing to enjoy the afternoon tea.
Went for the beau tea high tea, super fun , nice experience and good company. I liked the place and vibe. George our sever was soooo nice and sweet!!! 100% recommendations
I can’t rave highly enough about what an excellent experience I had at this establishment. The food and atmosphere were incredible and the delicacies arriving in a makeup box were so innovative. However, what truly made this experience one of a kind (especially for my mom’s birthday) was George. He provided the most incredible service with kindness, attention, and overall welcoming us to the space. He truly made the experience so much more enhanced and is responsible for the good feeling my mom and I took way when leaving. I will definitely love to come again!
Sat at the bar with a drink before an event. I was keeping to myself as on my right a group of guys were chatting among themselves and the seat on my left was empty. An Indian hotel staff dragged the empty chair away from my left side as soon as she noticed a lovely lady was approaching it. I ended up talking to the new guest and comforted her for having to stand by the bar being the only guest without a chair. I don’t know what the staff was thinking, but she did us a disservice without having known/served us at the venue. It was an ugly moment to an almost perfect evening that I wanted to share here.
The most incredible and unique high tea experience ever! Attended with a small party of six for a low-key bachelorette tea and we were blown away by every facet of the service. From the beauty themed amuse-bouche, to the Moët vending machine, to the service, 10 out of 10 all the way! We were blessed to have Kim as our server and she went above and beyond to make our visit nothing less than spectacular. Thank you so much to Kim and everyone at Living Room. I've had high tea services all over Toronto and this was by far the cutest, chicest, and most thoughtful rendition of the tradition. Bravo!
