This place is so cozy! Food is amazing, a hug to the heart! We ordered the cod croquettes, feijoada croquettes, and the feijoada meal(this one is served on Saturdays for lunch only!) I would say the best feijoada in toronto! Oh, no pictures but we also had strawberry and lime caipirinha and caipvokda! Didn’t have room for dessert, so we need to go back to try more items in the menu!
A portuguese family party doesn’t start until the codfish patties your vovo made come out. So when these creamy, delicious appetizers hit the table, I felt right at home. Then came the Mad Cow Waffle. Now I get why they named the place “OMG.” cassava flour in the waffle, The beef with Portuguese piri piri, Lightly toasted with parmesan, every bite exploded with different flavours like the laughter around the dinner table after your tio tells one of his famous stories. At this point, if you’re not already feeling like you’ve been floating through the Azores or posted up in Floripa, you definitely will after trying the chilled Super Bock, a light crisp, portuguese beer, classic Brazilian caparhinas, and a sweet portuguese port and tonic which is kind of like a sangria, but with that old-world Lisbon elegance. And Like any proper family dinner, they just kept feeding me. I tried everything on the sharing is caring platter like all of my tias were behind me, insisting I try their dish. And just like those times, they did not disappoint. Portuguese barbecue chicken wings, cassava and fries, and a parmesan Aioli recipe that’s worth passing down in the will. Now brazilians don’t take sugar in their coffee, they take coffee in their sugar. So, to keep the party going, I had a shot of sparkling water to cleanse the palate, then a sweet espresso, stirred with a cinnamon stick for that cozy flavour. Although there’s nothing sweeter than sharing a meal and the present moment with someone who lights your heart up, these desserts came pretty close. We came for the food — but somewhere between the first bite and the last drink, something shifted. The laughter got louder. The Notifications stopped mattering, And No one was checking the time. And for a moment, it reminded me what going out was supposed to feel like. So make sure to Follow for more spots that are worth slowing down for. @beaupinto
The real food is just as delicious as the mouth-watering photos. We chose the crispy pork belly with its delicious avocado-pineapple guacamole (perfect with a Steam Whistle?) and are now planning to go back for a coxinha. Try this little place, you won't regret it!
One of my favourite brunch spots in Toronto, food is fantastic, the owners are super nice and the restaurant has a relaxing and fun atmosphere. You must try their waffles!
Wow! I was passing by on my way to do a bunch of weekend errands and decided to pop in for some caffeine. Decided to grab a little treat. It was a choclaity cake thingy in a cup that I didn't get around to eating until I got home. I wish I remember what its called (some sort of Braziliancake I think) but literally OMG! It is delicious! Maybe I'm just out of the loop but this place is a hidden gem! They make everything in house and it shows in the best possible way. Americans was top tier as well and the batista was great. Cool vibe too. I'm stopping in any time I'm in the area. ...actually, I'll be going out of my way just to stop in.
The best pork belly (torresmo) I have ever tried in my life. Everything was so tasty and had the perfect texture, that for greater experience you have to toast life drinking a caipirinha. Service also can’t get better.
Ordered from this ppl last week and what a let down , food wasn't the best ( pão de queijo looked re-heated , esfirra falling apart , undercooked bitoque , ton of rice and portions very small . It cost almost 70 bucks and barely served 1 person . Nunca mais .....( btw I see the business replies negatively trying to argue with unsatisfied customers which is a red flag Ive ignored but I shouldn't have ) I'm from Minas Gerais and this place does not represent the food from my state . I'm better off catching a plane and get the real experience in Belo Horizonte's Mercado Central
