It's seriously awesome that t-buds offers takeout options. I had the classic afternoon tea box-to-go before, and recently ordered the high tea box-to-go. In both cases, I found one box-to-go is perfect for sharing between 2 people, and most of the items are easy to cut in half to split. The staff are really sweet and helpful too, answering all my questions about ingredients for a friend with allergies and travelling with an order for a cold weather subway commute. Everything was packed carefully to keep all the goodies safe - including the soup! We warmed a few of the items on the stove and in the oven, and it was all really tasty, with so many sweet and savoury flavours and textures to explore and enjoy, and the tea options are fantastic. I did find the roasted red pepper soup with coconut creme a bit on the salty side and the gingerbread cupcake with cream cheese frosting a bit too sweet, but having the tea accompanying it helped a lot, and honestly it's one of those your mileage may vary things. Overall it was such a delightful experience to discover and taste and exclaim over everything with a good friend from the cozy comfort of home. If you're looking to bring the afternoon or high tea experience home and/or to those who aren't able to easily eat out at restaurants, I highly recommend t-buds boxes-to-go!

I really wanted to try the high tea but had to leave before the food arrived because of the heat. Service was very slow. We were seated for quite a while before they came to take our order, and took long enough for us to leave before serving. I won’t rate the food yet, I’ll try again in the winter but this restaurant has no air conditioning, no ventilation, and no fans. It was smeltering inside, everyone was looking pretty flushed, so if you are sensitive to temperature do not come here during the warmer months. Management should add a few window units and or fans to keep customers from melting during the summer.

This tea shop is so delightful and charming! The portion sizes are perfect (or near so as we had a few leftovers), the food is tasty and interesting (the chickpea salad is the stuff of dreams!!) the tea choices are amazing! So many to choose from, with lots of information on the tea and flavor profiles. The first time we went there was a very nice man who was a tea expert and gave us suggestions and told stories about tea. The whole experience was wonderful and it will be a stop we make whenever we visit Toronto!

My fave afternoon tea lounge! Scones, sandwiches, pastries & desserts are carefully curated & always fresh. Very affordable considering the generous portions. We always have a wonderful experience at t-buds!

Huge tea selection. The high tea and classic tea options are both good and filling. I gave 3 stars for atmosphere only because it is not the fanciest of places, but it is nicr, quaint and clean. A good option for tea in the area and good value for the price.

We arrived for a belated Mother’s Day tea. We were put in a corner table. At first we were rushed into ordering. We asked for more time to pick tea but minutes later the server was back. My daughter barely had time to pick her tea. They asked if I wanted milk and then never brought it. When I eventually asked for the milk the server seemed annoyed. Then we were ignored. We were never checked in on or asked if we wanted more water. Eventually I asked for a box for our left overs and the server set the table for a new customer before bringing the box. Then we asked for a container for the earl grey pudding and she was annoyed to have to do that. We were not offered our flute of tea that I asked about. It was brought but the server didn’t seem happy. Finally while we were deciding what to tip a server who did almost nothing the machine timed out. When she came back she implied we didn’t know how to tap. I have gone in the past and have had good service and was not ignored. I would rather spend more money on a high end place and receive decent customer service. It seemed that other tables were being looked after but not us. Sadly, I don’t know if we will return

Don't let this unassuming tea spot fool you. I've had high tea numerous times in London UK and at some of Torontos' high-end hotels. This place rivals Harrod's, IYKYK. The selection of teas was amazing. So much delicious treats we couldn't finish. Thank you to the owner and Angel for making our birthday celebration so special.
