This was our second holiday team dinner at The Joneses and it was awesome once again! Our server Jeff was so pleasant, attentive and fun and made the experience even better. Food was great, loved the holiday decor, and the season drink menu had delicious options!
The food was good and the resto itself is very nice but it was dampened by our server. Our initial server was very abrupt, dismissive and aggressive. How hard is it to say ‘I’ll see what I can do’ or ‘let me talk to the manager first’ than just keep arguing with your customers in a very abrupt and dismissive way. At the end, the manager came and fix the issue for us. And another very nice server replaced him.
Popped in for dinner after a comedy show and had a great time! Interior of the restaurant was great, very modern but homey. Service and staff were excellent - very friendly Menu had great options; went with the burger and steak and crab dip for starter. Finish with some chocolate cake - overall great experience!
The Joneses in Toronto is a great place for dinner in downtown Toronto. The space itself looked amazing with warm lighting, stylish but comfortable decor, and a cozy, welcoming vibe. It felt like the kind of place you could dress up for. I had their prix fixe menu and every course was amazing. The Caesar salad was super fresh with a really nice creamy dressing and crunchy croutons,simple but done perfectly. The crispy roast half chicken was the highlight the skin was golden and crisp, and the meat was juicy and full of flavor. Finished with the cheesecake, which was smooth and creamy without being too sweet, with a buttery crust. Samuel was friendly and a great server for our night. He took precise care of every person at the table.
We dined at The Joneses on Wednesday, October 22, and had a wonderful experience. Jeff provided excellent service and made sure we were able to leave right on time. The food and atmosphere were both fantastic. Highly recommend!
Great service, and delicious food. Ambiance is fantastic as well. Highly recommend the cheese bread & chicken lollipops - great value and very tasty, loved the blue cheese & spicy orange sauce - compliments the dish very well! Best of all, everyone was attentive and our glasses were never left empty. Rahul & his team did a fantastic job
The Joneses (Summerlicious experience) We visited The Joneses for our yearly Summerlicious dinner tradition and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had in years. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, it was clear that all attention was focused on a private wedding party, and regular diners were treated like an afterthought. Drinks and appetizers took far too long to arrive, and several cocktails were poorly prepared. Mains didn’t hit the table until after 10 PM—more than an hour after we ordered. The steak frites came out lukewarm, with fast food-style crinkle fries. A guest with a dietary requirement due to pregnancy was given a dismissive response when asking if her steak was cooked to a safe temperature. Even worse, three of our guests including the pregnant one fell ill shortly after returning home. While the manager did comp the bill, it doesn’t change the fact that this was an underwhelming and poorly executed evening from start to finish. Operational mismanagement was obvious, and although we still tipped the server, we left feeling disappointed and concerned. Sadly, we won’t be returning.
