I ordered about 200 samosas as a treat for my staff, but unfortunately, most ended up in the garbage. The concept is great and the theme is cute, but the execution fell short. I don’t enjoy leaving negative feedback, but when 30 people share the same experience, it’s clear there’s room for improvement.
I placed a $75.00 order yesterday for my daughters camp counsellors. I requested delivery for the next day (today) wl The website gave me the option of pick up or delivery it took the delivery address and details and I paid online then promptly received a response that I will be notified once order was delivered. Today an hour and 15 after it was to be delivered I called to follow up and was informed in a very unbothered, wrong and strong tone that " oh yeah I have the order here but we dont really deliver anymore" my mind was blown, so my order was sitting there for over an hour. She did call twice ( at the time the order was ready) not the night before when they saw I placed it for delivery and not early in the morning to alert me to make alternate plans) and because I was busy did not get the call. The womans solution? I CAN PAY FOR AN UBER BUT SHE WILL HELP ME AND LOOL UP THE COST. This is after she said "yeah I asked them why the option of delivery is still on the website but they didnt change it" so I left my job and went and picked it up and dropped it off BUT she did compensate me with parting advice "next time if I want to uber it to that address it will only be $11.00!" Its unfortunate because I gave referred other this business but now foe only $11.00 they have lost a customer and gained a bad review!
We had Ash and team cater a big family party in our home. The food was top notch (we're still getting compliments), the service was great, and they worked closely with us to develop a menu that was exactly what we wanted. Oh, and our kitchen never looked nicer. Highly recommend!
The samosas are okay. Everything is super minced and almost tastes like baby food inside. There are many different flavors which is cool. The hole in the wall samosa shop on occonnor is much better
Sometimes I’m hungry but not enough for a full meal. This is a great place to pop in quickly and get something small and relatively healthy. There are so many options to pick from which makes it really fun to bring new people in and discuss and rate each samosa.
The samosas were good. The squash soup was so incredibly salty we could not eat it. After a long walk to pick the food up, we were disappointed. REPLY TO OWNER: Our review was honest, so when we say we could not eat the soup because of how incredibly salty it was, it was not an “each to his own” situation. It was salty to the point we spit it out, so perhaps you could have taken it as a coaching opportunity or probed for more information, instead of getting defensive and responding to make it appear like our review was false. Clearly, we are not the only ones to give a disappointed review. Someone made an error with the salt, period full stop. Your employee did not smile and seemed bored and slightly annoyed while we were asking questions about the different fillings. Moreover, we were being generous with our rating, as while the samosas tasted good, they were incredibly oily. The paper bag was soaked with oil. When people are paying $50 for 2dozen samosas, a soup, and a ramekin of sauce, maybe you could accept reviews with more grace.
After passing this shop on several occasions during my walks, I finally decided to drop by only to curse myself for not visiting sooner. The samosa's are out of this world and the service is impeccable. The owners were very friendly and helpful in choosing my samosas. A great asset to the neighborhood.
