Amazing fresh seafood, I tried their cold water shrimp. Use rice wine or sake to warm up the shrimp, leave some extra sauce at the bottom, add an egg and some green onion leaves to scramble, pour on top stir fry, broccoli soaks up the sauce. I steamed salmon the next day, put a piece of dry kelp at the bottom, ginger and chopped green onion, salmon on top, drizzle with sake and olive oil to help fish keep moist, sprinkle herb de provence and steam 15 min, finish with sushi soy sauce. Herb helps to remove fishy taste with ginger.
Fisherfolk's products are top notch. As a nutritionist, I appreciate the selection of local, wild, high quality seafood and really happy to have found this gem of a company.
The new management is keeping the great products of old and adding some fresh new ones. Had some of the smoked trout for a delicious dinner. Keeps getting better!
Came by after understanding they would have an item on hold for me. Looked online at hours and on the sign on the road outside the store.. it was wrong they closed 1 hr earlier and didn't it was only crossed out on the actual door. I traveled from far. Really far. And the surprise fish for the camping trip just didn't happen :-(
Cute, tidy storefront with great local and Canadian fish selection, some interesting meat choices from local farms and a bunch of other boutique foods too! The owner is lovely.
The highest quality seafood and products, excellent service, extremely knowledgeable! I can't say enough! Highly recommend for quality Canadian seafood!
