Have only had shoes a couple of months, got as a gift, and the toe part broke. Tried to contact Mephisto Canada they are trying to say I've had them longer than I have. I don't like being called a liar! First and last pair! BERKINSTOCKS have never disappointed. I've had them for many years and never any issues with the quality.
I have been coming here for years. I have chronic plantar fasciitis and am always amazed at their knowledge and expertise! I have been fitted with different shoes over the years, and never has a single pair let me down! Love the collections they keep getting every season, always on trend, stylish and AMAZING FOR YOUR FEET! Expensive shoes that after four years of wearing them only indoors the soles cracked. It is the natural fitness sole. The company says that I got four years of wear and I should not expect more. The soles are not worn but cracked right through.
The sales person was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping me decide on which shoes to purchase. I am very happy with my purchase and love my new shoes and boots.
By far the best shoe store in the city. The owner is so welcoming and informative, I get all my shoes from here now. The shoes are also impeccable quality 10/10!
If only you could give a zero rating since this store doesn’t even deserve one star. I shopped here a few years ago and recall that the service was, shall we say, lacking. I wish I'd remembered to stay away. I went there today and OMG, can you say RUDE? It was as if trying on a pair of shoes was a major inconvenience, and trying on the same style in two different sizes, as if I'd committed a major crime. It was when the woman (who’s the owner’s wife) threw the shoes down on the floor after I asked a question that I knew I had to leave. NEVER AGAIN is now ingrained into my brain, and that includes even if they're the only store in the entire world that has the only pair of shoes I'd ever want. And PS to the owner and his charming wife....many people speak French and know what you're saying about the customers!
I just had the most unpleasant shopping experience at Mephisto in Summerhill, Toronto. I was looking for a few pair of shoes for my mom who lives in Tahiti (shoe stores and styles are very limited there so I was so happy to bring her back a few pairs). I went in the store and selected 4 pairs which I was really interested in. I was texting on Whatsapp with my mom showing her the shoes and asking her if she liked them and the salesperson (an old guy) asked me 2 times in less than 5 minutes if I was done with some of the pairs so he could put them back on shelves. It was very obvious I was still unsure which ones I wanted to buy and instead of helping me make a decision discussing the quality, material etc. with me, he told me that there were other people in the store that may be interested although no one was looking at the shoes I was debating on. I replied that I wasn't done and I may buy all of them and he told me "yeah I doubt this will happen"! Right after I put all the shoes back in place and told him that indeed after the comment he just made I wasn't going to buy anything from the store and left. I mean how rude is that?! I was about to spend a few hundred dollars on a few pairs, it's normal I need time to make a decision. I ended up going to COLE HAAN which had amazing service and much better prices. I will never go back to that store and don't recommend anyone to go there.
