Great customer service. My GF and I visited from Sudbury and really needed shoes for her super sore feet caused by boots that she was wearing. I think she was the manager, she was very knawledgable and cared about me buying the right option.
Manager as well as staff are incompetent. I would recommend going anywhere but here. Staff did not honour return and made me argue with head office. Very unfriendly service.
I had a very good experience with Tamara, the sales associate. I bought a pair of winter booties with her previously, and that experience must have stacked in my mind, because…. I got a pair of oversized Vionic loafers online recently, and unable to return them, I needed some feedback with the insoles to fix the problem. Tamara took her time, tried several options with me, and gave an expertise advice and analysis. I took her recommendation rgd the insoles and it all works perfectly now. I mainly appreciate the personalized approach. The store itself carries a variety of brands, M and W. Good materials, although not the contemporary styles.
This modest branch has the usual range of great brands, though it's the sale season for summer shoes and the shoe that I craved was sold out for my totally average foot size. The store was very busy in the last hour of business (a Friday evening between 6 and 7). Nevertheless, the two people there managed to deal with everyone--one person attending to a single customer, and another to everyone else (including me). He was very patient as I asked for 6 or 7 different shoes (while another customer was also being looked after). I was looking for something that could somehow double to wear as a comfy travel sandal and a snazzier sandal to wear to a wedding. Both salespeople were particularly attentive once the store had finally emptied out. This isn't my local branch, but its location near the King subway keeps it on my radar when I'm in the area. I now remember that it used to be on the other side of the road (and that I bought some still-useful rain boots there, long ago). I'm glad that it's still around!
I went to the store to buy a pair of sneakers using two valid $100 gift cards I got as a Xmas present. My total was $145, so the cards fully covered the amount. At checkout, the cashier didn’t know how to process the gift cards. She called another staff member — who barely spoke English — and started asking uncomfortable questions about where I got the cards, as if I was doing something suspicious. After calling someone (possibly a manager), they finally figured it out and completed the purchase. But as I was leaving, the woman kept saying I wouldn't be able to get the money back or return the items — which made no sense and felt like she was still suspicious of me. I had to say, “I’m not returning it.” It was unprofessional and made me feel disrespected. If you accept gift cards, your staff should be trained and treat customers with basic courtesy. I won't be returning and I don’t recommend this store to anyone!
No help offered to find my size in the store. I was directed to go online and find my size and then give him the shoe type number. If I wanted to shop online I would have done that directly and never ventured into the store.
