My artist Jahdira is not only insanely talented but also patient, gentle, and attentive to every detail. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure I felt comfortable through the entire process. Her line work, creativity, and overall skill are truly next-level. The final result came out even better than I imagined—crisp, beautiful, and perfectly executed. You can tell she genuinely cares about her craft and her clients. I walked out feeling confident, happy, and already planning my next piece. They really took the time to really listen to my ideas and collaborated with me to design a piece that was even better than I had imagined. Their attention to detail and artistic skill are top-notch.
10/10 experience. I’ve been coming to Rebecca for the last few years now. She’s done 7 of my pieces and I gotta say, I’m extremely happy and satisfied. Not only is her work amazing but her hospitality is impeccable. It’s safe to say she’s my tattoo artist and I’ll definitely be coming back for more.
Cam is an absolute GEM i came to him with something I wanted for years that a lot of artists were intimidated by (which is more than fair) Not only was Cam up for the challenge, he also suggested adding some things to the design I would have never in a million of years thought of; all doing so without any ego, without any pressure; he simply is a dude who loves tattooing and takes so much pride in his work. You could tell his entire heart and souls goes into every piece, and that he wants the guest to get the absolute best out of their tattoo, and experience. If Cam offers to take the wheel, you better let him drive. The shop itself is no frills, so if you're looking for some hipster hang, perhaps not the place for you. HOWEVER the entire staff at Illustrative were kind and professional; it's a solid operation. Cam worked much quicker than I would have imagined, especially with the ABSOLUTE quality and attention to detail. I figure it would be at least a two sitting session. Nope! Cam knocked it out of the park, and the PRICE COULD NOT BE BEAT. Don't sleep on this shop, and certainly don't sleep on Cam I would run through a wall for this man.....and literally met him like 6 hours ago. Go see Cam at Illustrative Unless you don't like people with talent, kindness, and going the extra mile for you. I'm sure there's a shop on King street for you then Thanks again Cam You're a real one
Reading the reviews to see if I want to bring my money and time to this business and, no, I don’t think I do. Jahdira needs to refund KJ their deposit. Shady.
Do not book with Jahdira — unless you’re okay with wasting your time, losing your deposit, and being treated like your tattoo doesn’t matter. I waited two months for my appointment after booking in May, only to have it canceled by her the morning of. Not only that, but she sent me the draft design at 10:30pm the night before — completely rushed, unpolished, and nothing like what I asked for. Her own policy says designs are sent 1–2 days before, but she clearly didn’t respect that or my time. When I gave feedback, she became defensive and dismissive, barely allowed any revisions, and told me I had to “lock in” a design that she now admits she wasn’t even happy with herself. If she knew the design wasn’t solid, why try to pressure me to commit to it? She tried to spin the situation like I was indecisive, when in reality I gave her multiple references and was clear from the beginning. She just didn’t prioritize my appointment and treated it like a last-minute task. And after canceling on me, she refused to refund the $75 deposit — even though I was ready, confirmed days before, and had done everything on my end. At this point, it honestly feels like she’s just there to collect deposits, rush through designs, and cancel if she’s not ready — while blaming the client to avoid accountability. Save yourself the stress, time, and money. There are far better artists in Toronto who actually care about the work and respect their clients. Booking with Jahdira was a complete disappointment, and I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
I can’t speak for all the of artists but Alexander is probably the worst tattoo artist in the city. I shouldn’t even call him a tattoo artist because he has no idea how to tattoo. He has left me with one of the ugliest and most disgusting tattoos known to man.
