Happened to drop by Thai Express. Purchased something unique. Ordered a spicy chicken lemongrass stir fry with extra basil and egg on top. The food was perfectly cooked and the chef was super friendly. We had a nice chat. Store was very clean. Overall experience was superb.
⭐ 1 Star (If I could give 0, I would) Absolutely disgusting experience at Thai Express. I found a long hair in my Pad Thai and immediately brought it to their attention. The owner's wife had the audacity to tell me she "couldn’t see any hair", basically calling me a liar. Seriously? I'm not imagining a strand of hair in my food. The owner reluctantly agreed to remake the dish. The second one came drenched in an overwhelming amount of sauce — completely inedible. It was clearly a spiteful attempt at a remake. Not only that, but I had originally ordered the lunch special, and was told it included a spring roll. When I asked about it, suddenly it wasn’t included anymore — completely contradicting what was said earlier. First they said “it’s coming,” then they said “you didn’t order the lunch special.” Total bait and switch. In the end, I couldn’t even eat the second dish and had to ask for a refund. The entire interaction was rude, defensive, and completely unprofessional. The way they handled a simple complaint was shameful — no apology, no accountability, just attitude and excuses. If you care at all about hygiene, customer service, or even basic human decency — do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. I will never be returning.
I love to have the French fries with wings. It’s the only restaurant in the building that does it properly. I love love love it so much that I order it at least 3x a week. Please bring it back on the menu as I was told it’s being taken off.
Regularly grabbed food here for lunch when I worked in the building. Quality and taste is very consistent, and tastes much better than the other locations I’ve tried. Meat is always tender, flavours are well balanced (not too sweet), never too dry, soggy or gummy/sticky. Watching the skilled cook prepare your food while he handles the wok like a pro is very entertaining. Then dumping it into your container and handing it to you while it’s still ripping hot from the wok is even better. Very entertaining and makes it taste even better?
For the last 3 years, I have been a loyal customer to this restaurant every friday. I have ordered take out, party catering etc and they have not disappointed me ever !!!! Chef kevin is awesome and so is lovely Beverly. Always smiling. Truly a thai experience.Best pad thai at yonge and finch . I tried similar restaurants in the neighbourhood, they dont stand a chance in front of it. Staff is extremely friendly and are very accommodating. Owner operated. She is cute and very pleasant to deal with. Awesome food, fresh ingredients. Clean.
Great little place hidden underground, Great food, friendly staffs and the food is one of the best of Thai Express franchises that i have visited. My favorite is fried rice extra spicy..
If they had 0 star i could give them 0. The girl who serviced me was so rude. I came there almost 8:20 on 19 July Friday and she seemed like she was my grandmother. When i got out of there she jerked of her chin which meaned get lost. Maybe i came to late but i was so upset. Manage should talk to her about the attitute with customers. Too bad
