I received general travel health information and guidance regarding my trip to South America. The nurse provided a list of vaccines I should consider prior to leaving on my trip including altitude sickness medication. I got a prescription from my doctor for altitude sickness and Dukoral, and got vaccinated for tetanus, I didn't need the others recommended as I was already vaccinated for them.
Very professional and easy to schedule, but spent the first half of 1st the appointment filling out an intake form and was then told I had to come back another time to get the actual vaccine :/
Met with Esther (nurse) in December 2023 for a follow-up appointment. She is professional and just a lovely person. She saw me at the appointed time (no waiting!) and answered all my questions along with providing me with additional information. Can highly recommend Canadian Travel Clinics at the Bloor and Yonge location.
I was kept wiaing for 15mins becasue the receptionist did not inform the nurse I had arrived. On the plus side, the nurse called me to find out where I was & we got started. The nurse was professional & looked up what I needed & followed up with me to clarify some information she had provided. However, I missed the kind of in-depth knowledge I had experienced in previous vists to the travel Clinic (pre COVID) with Dr. Philip Scappatura at the Toronto Travel Medicine Centre.
I was late getting there...I called ..as a courtesy and I was still able to see someone...Great customer service. You answered all my questions and was very patient thorough and professional.
I got my test later than I was promised and missed my work flight. It was booked for yesterday at 5:45 and only got my result at 5:10 after repeatedly calling and asking for updates. They told me that my sample only started being processed at 4 pm and that it would take no longer than 30 minutes. I was in the airport waiting the entire time. This has caused me some serious trouble. When I called just now to see if I can get another PCR test without having to pay for it, I was met with some snarky and upsetting business tactics.
