Dave for the Labour Day Save! Dave fixed my son’s busted tube in a jiffy, and was super kind to open for an hour on Labour Day after I left him a voicemail. Good old fashioned, high quality work.
Not sure how this person stays in business. Despite the Google listing saying open, the store was closed. There’s a sign saying he’s open most days and best to call because he has a “dumb phone.” He didn’t answer the phone, so I texted. His dumb phone apparently has iMessage. I spent a week and a half trying to coordinate bringing my bike in, but Dave would reply days late or just make very strange jokes that I didn’t understand. For example, I asked when I could book in for a tune up for my bike and he wrote back “can’t you do it yourself.” Eventually I gave up and used a mobile service.
Dave was great, fixed up my bike and kept me in the loop for any updates, great neighborhood place for repair, quote he gave me was absolutely reasonable also.
Dave has always been there for me…. From a seized bike lock that had to be cut to Sunday afternoon flat tires…Dave has been there for all the bike drama and more mundane issues in between. 15 years of reliable and professional service. Thanks Dave❤️
Dave has been maintaining/fixing my bikes for quite a few years now, including my recumbent. He is always there with a solution, and a smile. His prices are reasonable, too, so it’s worth the trip slightly off the beaten path!
If you want to save time and money, avoid this bike shop The guy kept my bike for two weeks, charged me 200$ and "did nothing" The rear brakes were not working well, sticky front derailleur and bent rear wheel. I end up adjusting the derailleur my self, the brakes and the wheel were fixed for 50$ in another bike shop
WARNING: the bad reviews are LIARS trying to cancel him for political reasons. Dave is a kind man and has been fixing my bike since I was a young kid including technical mountain bikes. His skill and experience is outstanding. Don’t fall for the ideological totalitarian attempts to shutdown small business for divergences of thought without prejudice. Dave Fix My Bike is a last remaining legacy of a dying gentrifying Toronto community.
