FOUND ANEALS WHILE SEARCHING FOR A GOOD WINDIES PLACE TO EAT. NOT DISAPPOINTED. FOOD WAS GREAT AND PLENTIFUL LOVE THE HOT SAUCE. TOOK A FRIEND THE SECOND TIME AND SHE ALSO ENJOYED. ANEAL IS RECEPTIVE, FRIENDLY AND HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR TO BOOT. PICKED UP A XMAS CAKE ON MY LAST VISIT ALSO. WOULD RECOMMEND THE PLACE TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ATLAST I HAVE FOUND A WINDIES EATERY WHERE I CAN SIT AND ENJOY A GOOD OLD BACK HOME MEAL. CHEERS ANEAL SEE YOU SOON AGAIN
I wanted to love this restaurant so bad. The food is not horrible. I think I just had greater expectations because the reviews were very positive and the rating was high. However, will say… the flavour in the chicken is there I couldn’t taste anything else because I got it spicy and the heat was extremely unpleasant. I purchased the stew chicken as shown in the photo. The coleslaw didn’t have any flavour but it still worked well especially with the heat. Customer service was good. The man at the counter was very inviting and patient as I figured out what to order.
I could eat here every day! Food is so delicious and budget-friendly. Fresh ingredients and welcoming service. My fave is the oxtail soup and curry chicken roti. The SIZE of the roti is SOOOO generous!! 5 stars is not enough!!?
Pretty good Jerk chicken and reasonably priced. Chicken was cooked perfectly and had good flavour. Rice was a bit overcooked but also had good flavour. Coleslaw was good and they even gave me two portions!
Wanted some island food for a date with another couple. The husband had lived in Jamaica for a few years and loved the food but hadn't had it in a while. I got the Cajun catfish, the wives ordered the jerk chicken and he split the plates between BBQ and Jerk. I also had oxtail soup and my friend had goat curry. Service was amazing from the owner. There to fill the water, crack a joke, and generally ensure we had a great time. I tipped well and then noticed the ginger beer in the fridge, which was great, and asked to buy one after paying for the meal. He was an amazing gracious host so I got a second one for my friend. He also offered them a third piece of jerk chicken which they took and thoroughly enjoyed the next day. Definitely a go to place for Caribbean cuisine. Only drawback was the boisterous teenage boys eating near us. There is only maybe seating for 20-25 people in the restaurant. Parking was easy on the street out front or one of the many municipal lots in downtown Richmond Hill.
My family and I always frequent the Richmond Hill location, so of course we had to visit the North York one! We went last night and ordered two curried goat roties and a jerk chicken rice entree. The food, as expected, was PHENOMENAL. Spiced to perfection, tender meat, and immense flavours. But what makes this resturatant so amazing is the amazing service from the family that owns it. They make you feel like you are part of their family as well. The only Caribbean restaurant I will EVER recommend is Aneal's.
The food here is amazing every single time that I either dine in or take out. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere reminds me of being home. I recommend everything with the hot sauce!
