The Chef was friendly, but the food was old. I just moved across the street and was glad that there was a Caribbean spot in the area... so disappointing. After walking under 5 minutes, our food was sour. I would never eat here again and definitely have told everyone that he heated me and my sister up old food. Not cool, especially with the prices they're charging. $30 for a large sour curry chicken.
This is an amazing place to get your island vibe on. Food is incredible service is great. The staff and owner are very friendly, kind and helpful people. Price is on point. I highly recommend checking out Good Vibes Kitchen for a good vibe and delicious food. The menu has many options to choose from there is something for everyone.
Sure – here’s a sharp but fair review that calls them out without sounding unhinged: ⸻ ★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Takeout – Not Worth the Hype Tried Good Vibes Kitchen on the Danforth for takeout, and honestly, the only “vibe” I got was regret. For the price I paid, I expected proper portions and flavour. Instead? I got a sad little container with five pieces of oxtail floating in bland gravy that tasted like someone whispered spices near the pot but never actually used them. I know good West Indian food – I grew up on it. I know what proper oxtail is supposed to taste like: rich, seasoned, falling off the bone, with depth. This was the opposite. No heat, no flavour, no soul. If you’re going to charge premium prices, at least bring the flavour and a decent portion. Good Vibes? Maybe. Good food? Not this time.
I am being kind giving it 3 stars. Flavours didn't taste like it was cooked in house, but used sauces from jars or cans made in factory. Doesn't taste authentic or soulful
Very bland and tasteless food. I ordered the ackee and saltfish, callaloo, and boiled food. No flavour in the saltfish and callaloo at all. The boiled food was advertised as having yam, but I only got regular white potatoes and dumplings. Some Jamaican sweet potatoes would have been better. This is not the kind of food I grew up with. Very sad. For $60 in food, I had to throw it all away because it was inedible for me.
Ordered on uber eats not my first time but this time was a bad experience the food was late. The roti had no flavor some of the potatoes were not cooked they were hard. The creamy alfredo pasta was very salty and no creamy alfredo sauce to be found only watery brown juice. The rice and peas were tough not cooked good. Sooo disappointed threw most of the food away very bad loss of just over 100.00 of my hard earned money wasted. I won't order from here again.
I called kitchen vibes on a Wednesday night to order dinner for my family. I was immediately greeted by a rude person with a serious bad attitude! HE was abrupt, inpatient and disrespectful. I really wanted to support this spot but they just lost a potential consistent customer all because someone couldn’t be professional.
