I’m actually so tired of this place! I bought cowfoot from them and it was hard as a rock! When I called them they told me they don’t cook out the meat all the way cuz if they do it will get too soft in the warmer. I bought a curry goat from there and the portion size of the meat compared to rice was ridiculous!! Today we were talking past and my son said he wanted a patty. I bought him a mild patty and a spicy beef with coco bread for me. LOOK AT THE PATTY! It literally looks like they’ve been reheating this patty for days. This patty was not fresh or warmed up today! No way you can tell me that! I wanted to go back and tell them to give me my money back so bad but it’s -11 outside and I just couldn’t go back! I am definitely pissed I wasted $5.30 on garbage and I’ll never get anything from there again!
If you’re white and craving Caribbean you need to know you won’t receive the same treatment than a person of colour. They’ll give you a smaller portion and less meat as possible chopped up to look more. Taste is ok although floating in oil. Even if you ask for more they won’t give. The portion of coleslaw is ridiculous. The servers selected the small pieces of meat in front of me shamelessly. Not worthy at all for the money they charge you. Go to Mango’s if you want to be treated properly
Ordered through Uber Eats. Asked for fried chicken with oxtail gravy ON THE SIDE and an order of fried dumplings. First of all, they poured the oxtail gravy ON the fried chicken which made it soggy and salty. The fried dumplings were hard as a rock. Overall,a terrible meal that should have never left the store. It’s not the first time they messed up my order which is why I’m fed up with them now!!!!
Came to Toronto visiting for the weekend and had the pleasure of coming here. Wonderful staff and food, my first time having Caribbean food and I was surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. Amazing place
The flavour of the oxtail was perfect, sweet spicy and tender. Shaneill was my server she was incredibly friendly, warm and helped guiding me with my order. I’ll definitely be back in the future.
After 2 Years of Loyalty, I'm Done I’ve been a loyal customer for over two years, but after my latest experience, I’m officially done with this place. The portion sizes have shrunk noticeably, the food quality has declined, and the customer service — especially from the manager — is unacceptable. Their lunch special clearly states that it includes 2 pieces of chicken. What I was served was a single chicken thigh cut in half, and the manager insisted that still counted as two pieces. That logic makes no sense — a breast, thigh, drumstick, and wing are all individual pieces. Cutting one in half doesn't magically make it two. When I questioned this, the manager became argumentative instead of offering any reasonable explanation or resolution. She even said if I had asked for a drumstick, she would’ve cut that in half too — which is just ridiculous. I asked for a refund because I didn’t receive what I paid for, and she initially refused. It wasn’t until we said we wouldn’t leave and would call the police that she finally agreed to process the refund. This manager is clearly not trained in customer service or basic food portioning. It’s a shame because this used to be a good spot. Do yourself a favour and check out other jerk spots — the ones in Liberty Village or Dufferin Mall are far better in both quality and service.
Over priced for what it is. They food is good but extremely over priced. The servers are very slow too. There is no AC so the place is a sauna and very uncomfortable to stay inside.
