Had another bad experience at Daddy’s Chicken tonight, enough to say NEVER AGAIN. After receiving a $5 coupon from the fast food counter, we ordered two Chicken BLT sandwiches and two orders of fries… total before tax $36.00. The cashier rings it up with tax as $42.87, deducts the $5 coupon and then charged our credit card the original price of $42.87. When confronted, she showed us that the Daddy’s Chicken payment platform added $5.00 of tax and fees on top of the HST that was already included in the original price. The whole experience was disturbing and plain WRONG and ILLEGAL. Businesses cannot charge HST twice on one purchase. PLUS, advertising laws state clearly that coupons must be applied BEFORE tax is applied… so the correct amount that Daddy’s Chicken should have charged us is $36 - $5 =$31.00 x 13% HST = $35.03 + their transaction fee (Daddy’s Chicken also charged a transaction fee for using credit and debit cards). All in all Daddy’s Chicken is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for LOW quality food. PLUS, when fast food retailers overcharge and cheat their clients, they must close their doors. They don’t deserve to be in business ripping off hard working Canadians. NEVER order Daddy’s Chicken. It’s NOT worrh it.
A few things: 1) The workers (maybe owner) at the front desk seemed friendly. 2) The burger itself seemed to have too much batter compared to the amount of chicken which is a bit unfortunate 3) I believe the fries are made in house and they were nice to have 4) The chicken tenders were alright as well, since they weren't too dry Overall, it was good.
Had a tiring day @ work and decided to catch up with something before getting home. Needed something gluten-free and gosh, these guys never disappointed with regards to their positive reviews. They so good and trust me, it's been decades eating out without any health issues....kudos guys
Id like to Firstly thank the owners for accommodating to us gluten free individuals and allowing us to have gluten free north American comfort food! Id like to first say chicken tenders were amazing! Flavorful and perfect amout of crisp! The French fries were also just perfect! Fresh cut and perfectly cooked. Your price is extremely reasonable if not on the more inexpensive side of gluten free or even for the regular priced items! 5 peice for 19 is a steal! Thank you for an amazing dinner
I ordered the classic sandwich, which contained a huge, nicely fried piece of chicken. Be warned: it is scalding hot. This sandwich is worth a try if you're in the area. The staff was friendly, and the sitting area was clean and comfortable.
I’ve ordered for pick-up a few times, and even though it can take a bit longer for the order to be ready compared to other similar restaurants, it’s worth the wait. Their chicken is juicy and crunchy. Their fries are always fresh. And their options of sauces are on point. Even the coleslaw is good!
Ordered the hot chicken sandwich and they substituted plain pickles for deep fried pickles without ever mentioning this to me. So, I guess you need to ask the Cook if they actually have the food on their menu? For the record: I did not “eat the whole sandwich” because it did not taste good. Also, I would have been fine to simply not order the sandwich because you didn’t have pickle chips, but instead you substituted something radically different (i.e., regular pickles vs fried pickles) without asking. Normal restaurants ask before making/taking the order.
