I work pretty close to the St Lawrence Market and have been going there for years for lunch but never noticed this tucked away roaster until my coworker mentioned it to me recently. Now it’s my “go to” spot for fresh roasted beans. Service has bean pretty good so far and nice random selection of beans to choose from.

I really loved this coffee shop not only for the awesome Mocha they served but even more so for the vibe! It feels like it could have been there, the same shop in the same location, circa downtown Toronto 1960’s. It may not have been the 60’s but it’s been operating since 1979! Kudos to them. Maybe its charm comes from the fact that it’s tucked neatly in the corner on the lower level of the very busy St Lawrence Market or that each time I’ve been, there is a long line up of people waiting for their cup of Java! Their menu is quite decent as are the prices specially for the quality and location of this coffee kiosk. I’ve tried their Mocha and their coffee, both of which bring me back to this location each time I am in the area. They have a wide variety of teas and coffee beans, something for every tastebud!

Just cannot give more likes to comments who shared out the rude staff bad experience here, yes here is not worth in the market as they have expensive price but not good coffee at all compare to numerous other options close by. As everyone shared out the bad experience, that is how they treat clients. They do not provide any service but hiding the true comments

Went here to buy coffee and beans on 15th october morning around 10am. The coffee for me is good i really like it. The male staff was helping me nicely when i asked him about the beans and etc he even asked me if i have more questions he‘d be very happy to assist. But when i finished with choosing 3 type of beans i wanted, the lady who was in the cashier and helped with grinding the beans was EXTREMELY rude. I have never seen things like this in a coffee shop. I always smile and have eye contact when im talking to someone as a gesture of respect. I understand she might be a bit busy with making coffee. So i went to pay for the beans and my coffee near the digital scale which is inside the store (not at the front counter), so i assume i could wait for my coffee there as well because this is my first time coming here after some of my friends recommended me to try their coffee. And then the lady was calling me which i didn’t hear clearly, and she bang her hand on the coffee machine just to say „Hey, you wait your coffee here, not there.“ i was shocked. Then i also heard she say to other people like „please line up here, im working alone right now.“ very not professional. I could only tell you 1 rude interaction even tho i experienced more rude interactions when i was there with her. It really cost 0 dollar to be kind to people thats what i believe. I dont wanna go too far with my assumption, but apparently when i see the reviews here, seems like some people have the same experience towards the lady. I appreciate the male worker who was very kind and helpful, but not to the lady. Such a disappointment.

This place is tiny and genuine. We love it and go there regularly. We also brought some coffee for our collegues and now they are hooked too. We have tried almost every coffee variety there, and they're all good, but the smooth medium to dark roasts are our favorites. The coffee is roasted fresh daily, right next to where it's sold. They can grind it for you in any size you like too. Don't tell all your friends, because it will get way too busy once they find out about this place.

Went on a Saturday morning just before 9 a.m. and there was already a surprisingly long line. Most of the early diners seemed like regulars—they barely even glanced at the menu. For us, only visiting for the second time, we went with instinct and ordered a flat white and a large latte. The flat white was the clear winner: strong, aromatic, and straight to the point, exactly the kind of coffee that wakes you up instantly. Prices are also very reasonable compared to the inflated tags you often see at other coffee shops. Now I understand why the line is always there. Definitely coming back to try more.

This is the go-to coffee shop when you’re at St Lawrence market. It really feels like an “if you know, you know” (IYKYK) situation. The first time we came here in the afternoon, we didn’t bring cash and the line-up was huge. But we learned from our mistakes and came here first thing when the market opened. Delicious espresso. And loved the oat flat white for both the taste and the price ❤️ I get the name of this store because I would come here everyday if I lived close by. One of the better coffee places in Toronto for sure.
