I adore this coffee shop for its amazing coffee, cozy vibe… or used to be. Now it’s just a sea of glowing screens. Management, help! Some of us still come here to talk like it’s 2012
Wanted to support a local shop instead of the Starbucks, so I walked in Sunday afternoon 45 minutes to close. Server had a very unapproachable "what do you want" demeanor. I asked if they had iced tea and was met with a very blunt "no." After we walked out my wife pointed out that their counter had a board with iced teas listed. Espro, another shop down the street took care of us instead and the staff was great there♂️
Bud’s Coffee Bar is such a hidden gem in The Beaches☕. We tried the vanilla and caramel lattes (perfectly balanced), grandma’s brownie (so rich and nostalgic), and the chocolate banana bread (super soft, all baked in-house). But the real star was the cauliflower panini – unique, hearty, and absolutely delicious! The space is small but so cozy, perfect for a neighborhood coffee stop. Definitely recommend checking them out – follow @sippinginsix on instagram for more Toronto gems
Nice spot and well located. The coffee was a bit too dark roasted for my taste, but it’s perfect for those who enjoy that style. Customer service could’ve been a bit better.
PROS: Cute local coffee shop. The kind of place that decorates for every holiday :). Friendly owners staff. They have a separate section for kids and families at the back of the shop which is cute. Participate in cafe to in summer months. CONS: The place is small and a little crowded. They charge 50c more for ice drinks but provide very little ice. The food is very limited All in all a good place. But surprised it doesn’t have more competition in the area!
Go to buds for a cozy atmosphere, sub par espresso and bad customer service! The coffee shop itself is very cozy and cute, it is a nice place to get some work done. My usual go to is a flat white. Which is alright, they need to work on steaming their milk better so it’s not so foamy. The food is astronomically expensive and not worth it. The most disappointing thing is their customer service. The baristas seem like they hate their life and are annoyed to serve me. They made me feel like I am a huge inconvenience to them. I asked kindly what syrups are there and she said it’s right on the board. I said sorry I can’t read it cause I don’t have my glasses today and she just stared at me. I was like okay never mind then. I am aware customer facing jobs can be exhausting but this has been my consistent experience at Buds. Manager please have a chat with your employees. Baristas Please take a mental health day or a vacation if possible because how you treat people has an impact especially if it’s the first interaction one is having in the morning.
Your lids do not fit. I put the lid on carefully and tightly and when I lifted my cup to take a drink, it came off slightly. I burned my hand and now I’m in the hospital. Thanks a lot.
