Beyond the coffee itself, the café exudes a modern yet inviting ambiance that makes every visit enjoyable—whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or settling in for a productive afternoon!
I came for the highly-rated pistachio latte. When I was paying, I remember I haven't mention the size so I asked the barista if the price was for a small cup to double-check. I asked like "May I know if this is the price for a 12oz cup?" He got really worked up and said the price included tax. "All products include 13% tax, you got it?" I said I knew, I just wasn't sure if the price was for 12 ounces or 16 ounces. (I'm not good at math...) Maybe he feels I am too stupid to asked that question…. But it would be highly appreciated if he answer “Yes, it is the price of 12oz.” without any bias. Then he read the menu loudly to me, saying word by word how much the 12-ounce and 16-ounce sizes cost, as if I had never read the menu or the text before. While he was making the drink, he came over and told me that the jam he chose was high quality, not cheap stuff, and showed the jam bottle to me. It sounded like he was saying, "That's why the price is what it is. It's worth it, and you shouldn't think it's a cheap coffee!" After finishing, he slammed the cup on the table and said, "Here you go!" I took the coffee and left immediately, saying, "Thank you." I usually say "Thank you and have a nice day," but all I wanted was to get out of there, even didn’t spend a sec to put the lid on my cup, i haven’t a nice day right there I was wondering what was wrong with ensuring the price. I wanna ask the size and price just because I have dinner with fds afterwards and I don’t wanna drink too much. I respect any pricing, which is why I paid for it. But I am so disappointed with the attitude. The only nice thing he did was lower the volume of the music when he greeted me and made my order (maybe just because my voice is too low). Anyway, the taste is not bad, interior design is good. But latte art doesn't seem to be included for takeaways. (Or its gone when he slammed the cup?) Here is a photo of what I got before I tasted it. I expected to take those photos for recommend as others comment before I came here….. But sadly it turn out like that.
Had an amazing experience on Sunday! Took myself on a date and had a delicious cortado with beans from el Paraiso farm. I love coffee from that farm and have a hard time finding it so was excited to see it! The barista was also incredibly lovely I felt very welcomed
It was a bit more pricey than I thought (I mean, everything is expensive these days), but I tried their iced vanilla latte, which was extremely good! Beautiful crema!
Such a good experience! You go to grab a stellar cup of coffee and you leave with way more than you bargained for. Every bean has a story and every drink leads to conversations about coffee, business, life, what have you. I’d come through every day if I could.
I am you’re typical arrogant French foodie, and I am telling you… these could very well be the best croissants i have ever had in North America! Yes. That much! No, he didn’t bribe me ! ( not even with a croissant). In full disclosure he doesn’t make them from scratch but buy them frozen, but the way he prepares them … he must put so much love in them because the result is awesome!
**New Beans in March 2023! Also some new canned bevy options. Great coffee food. Bean options for Americano- very rare service, but shouldn't be. Can't believe this is my first time here. Good retail store add-on with a few good serious coffee items. Nice outdoor stoop for enjoying your drink away from St. Clair bustle.
