The food was decent, the service was okay, and we had a good time. Since I was staying at the hotel, it was convenient and worked well. I’m not really a coffee person myself, but my girlfriend really enjoyed her coffee. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re staying nearby.
I rarely write reviews, but I feel like this experience deserves one. The barista who served me was surprisingly rude and gave me so much sass for absolutely no reason. Which was disappointing because the pastry was great and the coffee itself was decent. I was the only person in line, so it wasn’t even a busy moment. I simply asked if they offered a caramel macchiato, and the barista responded with unnecessary attitude, saying it was “a Starbucks exclusive item.” That’s not accurate — plenty of cafés make macchiatos, and the difference between a latte and a macchiato is common knowledge. She could’ve easily offered to make something similar since they clearly had the ingredients for one. A little courtesy and correct information would’ve made the experience much better. Unfortunately, after this interaction, I won’t be coming here again.
AWFUL customer service just like their slogan all day every day! When your lead Barista in the morning "THE BLACK ONE" looks at you when you request her to warm up your food as she will jump over the counter and BEAT YOU UP, YOU HAVE TO QUESTION management to see why are they not providing CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS TRAINING!! NEVER AGAIN, will I spend a Loonie here!!
Stayed next door at One King West and made a stop one morning here as it is attached to hotel (can get to it within lobby). Ordered an eggs Benedict (with spinach & mushroom) as well as a large cappuccino. The meal was prepared perfectly and tasted great, although I wish I had more, it didn't quite fill me up. The cappuccino was very good. I forgot to check what kind of beans they used but I enjoyed it very much. Worth a stop if in the neighborhood.
Great choice for downtown core Toronto catering. Over and above service, next level detail. The turkey & veggie sandwich options were a particular hit. And the tiny eclairs! Perfect team lunch post thanksgiving!
Latte was great! Super friendly staff. But the gluten free muffin was not good. I came here specifically for the gf options and my muffin completely crumbled apart even after heating it up. Maybe a lot of butter would have helped? Not sure how quickly they turn over the product.
They serve the best coffee in the area. We tried both latte and brewed coffee, both were quite balanced in terms of acidity and bitterness. This is one of the few places in Canada that doesn’t boil the milk and you can actually taste its sweetness ☺️ Nice and bright atmosphere and great selection of sandwiches and pastries
