Ive walked by this coffee shop for ages, and finally stopped in this past weekend. The espresso was so good but I would love to see the shop step up their alt milk game to take their almond and oat milk lattes to the finish line. Nonetheless, I will definitely be back as the shops is basically screaming for me to hang out there with a book.
Local gem. Standard coffee shop drink menu and baked goods. There are large and individual tables with local artists works displayed along walls. Ceiling fans were going a bit strong during my visit.
The only reason they lose a star is because they run out of baked goods too quickly. The coffee is damn good, and the ginger molasses cookies are the bees knees.
Mercury Espresso is a charming little café with a great summer vibe! I had an iced cold brew that was excellent—smooth, refreshing, and perfect for the heat. That said, I did notice a fair number of small fruit flies hovering around the syrup and milk station, which was a bit off-putting. It might be worth the team looking into a solution like fly traps or one of those mini fan devices to help keep the area cleaner and more inviting. It’s quite a cute cafe overall, but cleanliness matters. Still, the coffee quality and overall vibe make it worth a visit. You could always get takeout!
Great coffee, but overpriced. I hope the barista's get paid a living wage to justify the cost. I'll still stop by still on occasion when I want to treat myself as there is a lack of high quality coffee in this area.
The coffee was quite good, but I personally feel that the price didn’t quite match the value. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk and paid $8, which felt a bit on the higher side. The barista didn’t seem very engaging there was no interaction which made the experience feel a little impersonal. Overall, I probably wouldn’t return but if you’re just curious to try it once, it’s worth a visit.
Hidden gem and one of the best in Toronto. If you are an espresso connoisseur this is a spot to try. Spanish latte is a must try. (Picture on the right)
