It’s not really my taste. The coffee was small, the staff were nice, and at first I liked the place because it smelled great — but I didn’t like the taste of the coffee.
I went to the Pilot Roaster in Brookfield place for one thing : their mango sticky rice matcha latte (iced) and enjoyed every sip of the drink. the matcha was good quality and the mango at the bottom on the drink was so tasty and sweet, it added just the right taste to the matcha. honestly it was a little over powering once it was all mixed in, but I really love mango so I didn’t mind too much. just be aware that it is definitely on the sweeter side, it must be the type of syrup they use. if you’re a mango and a matcha person, this drink is definitely a must try!
Went in to pick up a few coffees. The shop was clean and inviting and the server was very polite as well. They had a small selection of pastries and coffee and teas. The drinks tasted delicious and could be hot or cold.
I was very excited to try Pilot Coffee as I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. This location is small but with clean and simple decor. The brew of the day was Las Palmas so I was happy to try it because I knew it was a great bean, medium roast with a sweeter and creamier taste profile. Well, it did not taste as expected. It tasted acidic, bitter and diluted.. I couldn’t finish it, I am sorry as much as I would have loved to love it but just couldn’t. Staff was nice and friendly.
Me and my partner stopped by at the Pilot on Richmond and really enjoyed our interaction with Rafael. Sometimes it’s nice to meet people who love what they are doing. His knowledge about coffee, detailed description of the different kinds of coffee beans paired up with his passion are superb! Will definitely come back to get more coffee!
My daily coffee spot. I start my day here most days. Juan and Raphael are both great hosts, incredibly helpful, and very personable. The coffee is fantastic and you can never go wrong with either an oatmeal scone or a slice of chocolate chip banana bread.
Pretentious shop that refuses legal tender. Excuse me for not wanting to rack up bank fees. Shops that refuse cash are discriminatory. I'll go to one if the many welcome spots thatwant my business.
