I’ve come here twice now and both times the customer service has been really disappointing. I walk in (sometimes the only person there) and the staff are very inattentive. This morning, there were THREE guys behind the counter just talking, and not one of them said “hi” or “can I help you?” I had to walk up, stare at them to try to get their attention, and eventually had to interrupt their conversation just to place my order. Greeting your customers and taking their orders is just basic customer service. Also the last time I came, the employee made me wait while he finished cleaning to serve me. Again, no one else was in the store, and only after he finished what he was doing, did he take my order knowing I was there waiting. Come on, guys. This place is know for theirs great options, it sucks that the staff is inattentive.
I visited for the first time and ordered the iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious till the last sip. As a frequent coffee drinker, I highly recommend it!
Coffee was overpriced and underflavored. The waitress also was very condescending when I requested that my drink which was in a mug be transferred to a to-go cup, especially considering that I ordered a togo cup initially. Will not be coming back here, there are better coffee shops to spend a Saturday
great iced latte! there are ledges by the window to sit down - it's not really a place to work in since there arent any tables. they seem to have some good pastries - will have to come back and try.
They may be known for their coffees but when I ordered a hot chocolate and saw the barista pour chocolate milk from a nestle carton and heat it up, that was disappointing!! I thought it would be real cacao.
Really great coffee, just no spots to sit and can get crowded if going during a busy time. Took a bag of espresso beans home I'm looking forward to using at home!
I love their espresso blend! I was roaming the area on ossington trying to settle on where to get coffee and decided to stop by Sam James. Ended up ordering a mocha which was good and not too sweet since it’s made with chocolate milk. The milk was well steamed and enjoyed the pretty latte art. The coffee bar does not have all that much seating, with no tables, so something to keep in mind.
