I ordered a dubai chocolate latte only to get there and find that it wasn’t done. I asked the barista to make it, but she made hot chocolate instead. When i asked her to make a dubai chocolate latte, she told me that she’s going to add the espresso shot on top. It tastes horrible to say the least. I got the whole espresso shot in one sip and now i’m drinking hot chocolate instead. How disappointing! She also has a very bad attitude, didn’t even apologize for not making my latte. Felt like she needs a nudge to do it and add the espresso shot! Horrible !
It was sad to experience a Canadian company like Second Cup not having the Canadian Poppy for the public. Since when has this become a thing, we live in Canada, Remembrance Day in Nov Nov is the month for Poppies, where's the pride and gratefulness for those who fought for us to live the life we have where all around the world want to live the life of free. Not one of your companies were selling poppies disappointed.
The service was warm and welcoming. The two baristas were very friendly. There are plenty of tables to sit and cafe. I ordered a Vanilla Cold Brew and if you're a sugar lover, this is your drink. Way too sweet for me, I was to happy when the ice melted and watered the sugar down. Their main floor is clean and cafe lounge friendly. However their washroom looks completely out of place. The stalls are to tiny to even turn around. There is no hook for your purse or jacket (in or outside the stall). If it wasn't for the scary movie toilets, I would recommend this joint. If you're Not looking to use the washroom, this is a beautiful cafe to sit, work, converse. $7 Vanilla Cold Brew I gave ☆☆☆☆s because the drink was extremely sweet, the washroom was something out of an abandoned scary movie. The straw was plastic (not to be a turtle lover, but come on- I thought the city ruled out plastic straws. Overall, Second Cup seems to cheap out and avoid branding their cups, they're using plastic straws and can't be bothered to update their bathroom with a simple hook for hanging. I had to rest my purse on the floor that looked just as gross.
The atmosphere is lifeless, with neither ambient music nor reliable Wi‑Fi. I was surprised that, despite its proximity to the university and the fact that students prefer studying outdoors, the Wi‑Fi remains problematic. I wouldn't recommend it it's a waste of time and money
Love this second cup location! The atmosphere is always calm and lively the staff are always so cheerful and funny I love that most of them remember their regulars it is a good place to study interms of food it could be better but that goes for any second cup
I abandoned Starbucks because of their water coffee, and The second cup has been my preferred coffee ever since I moved to Toronto in 2010, but the quality of the second cup has decreased with time and a lot of water. I can't yet what am seeking for my $3.00. I love this coffee place and I haven't been here for a year. I came back with the idea of visiting more often, but the coffee was horrible today; maybe I should try coming earlier in the morning. I arrived at 11 am, too late I guess.
Quite literally the worst coffee I’ve ever tasted; asked for lactose free latte and got a sour milk latte, chocolate croissant was also terrible. I couldn’t even get past a few sips. Service was also not great, servers seemed distracted and had to repeat stuff a bunch of times.
