Train your staffs. I asked if matcha or chai latte has caffeine , none of them knows thats very dangerous. Are you sure they know their job as coffee specialist?
Used to go there in the past when I attended convention to have a smoothie and coffee. Went today and actually refused the so-called smoothie that the clerk was making out of heavy sugar syrup instead of fruits. Took the coffee and it was a watered down and lukewarm. Very disappointed.
I ordered mango smoothie, however, there was no mango, the guy put rather cheap syrup and banana, tasted horrible. Wasted my money and risking sugar level in body, will Never ever go to the Second cup.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The drinks and food are good. The prices are similar to Starbucks. There is plenty of comfortable sitting and the place is very clean
Over $8 for a croissant and a cookie and neither were good. The croissant was undercooked and not flaky. The cookie was hard/stale not fresh/soft. Disappointed.
Canadian food safety issues, as I've been in the food service industry almost a decade, the attendant carried a bread knife from the kitchen across the restaurant while carrying it dangerously and not the correct Canadian food safe way. Which is dangerous. I also have intolerances and I asked for alternative milk, my drink was made with cows milk which causes an allergic reaction in my body, thankfully it's not fatal. I suggest monitoring the staff while they make your drink to make sure what you asked for is in the drink. I also feel $7.95 for a London fog with coconut milk (which I didn't get) is ridiculous, especially for a low end coffee cafe chain. Maybe that was a large, idk because I was not asked which size I wanted. I also get targeted by an ethnic group in the gta, that have been harassing me for 10 months now, the same ethnic group was making my drink, so I could put it to that. But honestly any standard which acts unsafely in any environment is not worth our attention.
1st order: Cuzco light roast coffee beans (fav light roast) + Freshii coco bites (cocoa bites with coconut flakes), then bar - marshmallow treat rice crispy squares. 2nd order: Batch 49 Medium roast coffee beans (fav medium roast) / Paradiso (2nd fav medium roast - actually nah, it smells bad) + confetti cookie / red velvet cookie / ginger cookie / chocolate chip cookie in that order.
