First barre class but came in with pilates experience. Reece was very clear in his instructions, each movement felt deliberate and engaging. He kept the pace of his sequencing high which worked incredibly well while moving to tempo. Glutes are really feeling it today!! Enjoyed the class and would definitely return.
I passed and received my Barre Teacher Certification from BCTO this year! It was such a supportive space and community to learn in. By the end of the training, I felt confident and fully equipped to lead a class on my own. We covered anatomy, how to build a class, alignment cues, pre/post-natal considerations, and so much more. I was paired with a Mentor, an experienced instructor. I learned resume building, various ways to promote myself, and ways to start teaching after certification. After earning my certification, I’ve become part of the BCTO community by teaching community classes as a teacher trainee, which is such a great hands-on way to practice and gain experience. Right now, I’m already teaching at several studios using everything I’ve learned, and I’m well on my way to even more opportunities. I’m grateful to the BCTO team for their support and for reigniting my passion for teaching fitness classes.
BCTO offers a wide variety of classes with an amazing roster of instructors. The whole studio is warm, welcoming, friendly, and inclusive. Everyone on staff takes the time to get to know your name and to truly make you feel welcome. The workouts can be as kick-ass of as chilled as you need or want that day!
This studio is a such a gem. I stumbled across it on Classpass, and was surprised on how beautiful and cozy the space felt like. The pictures do not do this space justice. The front desk staff, instructors, and overall class was a 10/10. I can’t believe I haven’t been here sooner.
BCTO is an absolutely amazing home for class workouts of all kinds. I'm so personally happy I discovered it! The space is gorgeous, the equipment and amenities are so well-curated, the array of instructors bring big expertise and genuine caring to the design and offering of their classes, and the whole vibe there is crazy warm and friendly. There's also a community program running there that I gotta tip my hat to, training underrepresented movers to become instructors. Shelly Anne's vision for BCTO is exactly what the West End needs, and Bloor West Village is lucky to have the Barre Collective on board.
5 star workout experience every time. BCTO is more than a fitness studio, it’s a community. I always feel welcome and valued, and the classes are excellent. Instructors are fun, create challenging programs and are genuinely kind humans. I’ve been coming to BCTO for a couple of years now, and can’t imagine my weeks without it!
Bethany is a highly skilled teacher who knows her students very well and gives customized feedback to each as appropriate. This is an excellent class for all Pilates levels as you will work hard regardless of your level. It's a great place to learn Pilates or improve at any level. I always come out feeling refreshed and energized.
