We would highly recommend working with Oriel. We used them for a two-storey interior renovation and they delivered stellar results - on time and on budget! - with excellent communication throughout. Here are just some of their strengths: COMMUNICATION: We were provided with daily updates of the work going on at the house, with pictures to show progress, and details of who was working and hours worked. If they needed to ask any questions or let us know of anything unexpected coming up (it's an old house - of course there were surprises!), they were very prompt and friendly with communicating. ORGANIZATION: From planning the original proposal, to choosing design options, the team had well-organized systems which made the whole process easy for us as first-time home renovators. TIME MANAGEMENT: The management of their team and subcontractors was excellent. There was always work going on at the house, and we had a detailed schedule to see what was coming up next. They completed our project on time and on budget - two things we were warned not to expect from contractors! BUDGET MANAGEMENT: They were very sensitive to our budget from the start. They worked with us to tailor the scope of our renovation to fit within our budget and planned for the work and materials in detail up front to avoid surprises. When our old century home threw some curveballs, they offered efficient and manageable solutions. WORKMANSHIP: We are so happy with our "new" home. There was incredible attention to detail and thoughtful execution of the work. It felt like the whole team really cared about delivering a good result and were invested in the project. Oriel Renovation has been helping me with big and small projects for almost 10 years of renovating my century building on Roncy. We couldn't be more impressed with Jacob and his team. Their workmanship was absolutely superior, exceeding our expectations at every stage of the project. They paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every aspect of the job was completed to our liking - we had our basement gutted/renovated, created a powder room on the main floor and other work done to different areas of the house. Beyond their excellent craftmanship they maintained a clean and organized workspace, tidying up thoroughly after each day's work - this was very much appreciated! The Oriel team were also incredibly professional and mindful of our timeline. They were aware that we needed to move into our house by a certain date and they worked diligently to stay on track and make that happen for us. We hired Oriel to renovate several rooms in our 1940’s era house. The work included, among other things, gutting two bathrooms and a portion of our basement, as well as replacing the ceiling in our dining room which required matching of unique crown molding from an adjacent room. The workmanship and materials used were always of high quality. We were very happy with the entire process from quoting to final touch-ups. Management (and everyone on the jobsite) was responsive to questions and concerns. Whenever issues came up (which is inevitable with an old house!), Oriel quickly responded and came up with excellent solutions. They were never satisfied unless the job was done to their high standards. The entire Oriel team and their tradespeople were all very professional and enjoyable to work with - very important because our family was still living in the house during the renovation. Our project had to be completed on a tight timeline, and the team worked very hard to meet deadlines. For any of our future projects, we will definitely work with Oriel again.
I found Oriel Renovations thru google and as such I didn't know what to expect. It was apleasant surprise to geta call from the owner to discuss the project after I sent him our drawing for large wall cabinet. He not only recommended abetter solution to the finish, but also gave us arealistic timeline and price range, which he stuck with. He are thrilled with the outcome and how quickly it came together. Oriel crew is the most pleasant contractor experience I had in along time. I highly recommend them for any interior work.
