I was having some problems with my tire due to a puncture and they very kindly squeezed in my repair which was very reasonably priced. They were extremely professional and helpful. I had a great experience and would definitely go back.
Terrible service. I came in last week to fix the issue with my serpentine belt for my car. Was told that it was 'fixed' last week. Not even one week later, my belt completely snapped in the middle of the highway and my steering wheel became almost impossible to steer. I had to get my car towed and obviously get it fixed somewhere else than waste my time, money, and life to come back to this place. They installed the wrong belt, didn't put the wrong belt in properly and didn't make an effort to resolve the issue. My car was doing a lot better before this 'repair.' They are lucky they're not sued yet and closed down.
We were visiting Toronto over the long weekend. Picked up a nail on a Saturday. Mid afternoon we were scrambling to locate someone to help plug our tire before all shops closed. We visited here first. The extremely friendly gentleman explained he was very busy, but if we left our vehicle he could get to it by 4. We mentioned we were in a rush, and would have to stay, as we were not from around Toronto. He said to try a business up the road. We did, but they were closing at two. We went to Midas just up the street, where I could not understand anything the lady was trying to say. Thankfully their tire machine was down. We came back to speedy advising of our dilemma. We hadn't eaten all day, so we left our vehicle to grab something to eat. The gentleman advised us to try "The Stockyards". Upon our return, he showed us the nail that we picked up. We are so thankful, and grateful of this person on helping us out on such short notice. He was able to get us back on the road again, to enjoy the sites of Toronto. Thank you again!! Friendliest tire service station I have ever been to. Highly recommend!!! I believe his name was, Carl. Such a great guy, I had to shake his hand.
Whatever you do, avoid this place! I went in because for an oil change because my mechanic (and friend) was too busy. Everything went smoothly until I picked up my car. The person at the front desk notified me that my "oil cap was damaged from not being screwed on properly and would probably need to be replaced next time I did an oil change." I didn't actually think much of it until my car started to leak oil a few weeks later. At this point I went to my mechanic and he informed me that Speedy had ruined my oil cap. He knew this because (1) he said that it wasn't damaged the last time he changed my oil or he would have let me know and (2), he said that Speedy has tried to "fix their mistake by using some type of adhesive." Needless to say I had to spend over $400 to replace my oil pan so whatever you do, AVOID THIS PLACE.
Can't say enough good about Carl and his team. They are honest, reliable and try their best to keep costs down. They have saved me many a time and have never charged me for things I don't need..
I would strongly recommend this garage to anyone. Carl is the owner of this Speedy location and he is the best! We have been going to him for years, we know nothing about cars and he always explains clearly and lets us know what things are absolutely necessary and gives us heads up about what we will need to do going forward. Really fair prices, I can't say enough good things!
