This was the worst and wildest retail experience of my entire life. My partner and I came here as he needed to buy an outfit to wear to a wedding and I've never experienced more rude, dismissive, and almost hostile treatment from a retail employee. There are a few other 1 star reviews of this store and they all mirror the treatment we received -- to echo one of the other reviews, it literally felt like being in that scene in Pretty Woman. We came here expecting to spend quite a bit of money on his outfit but I would honestly rather flush my money down the toilet than spend it at this establishment. Maybe if you come in wearing designer clothing you get better treatment, so try that if you're going to come here I guess -- but if you come in wearing your regular street clothes and the person working here can't immediately tell how much money you're willing to spend, be prepared to be treated like a used kleenex.
I visited this store today with my partner as we were looking for a tie for an upcoming occasion. I saw the rating for this store and the proximity to where we live, and thought it would be a great place to check out. The store looks very nice, but that's unfortunately where the good experience ends. It appears that there is an employee who works here that consistently has very poor customer service skills according to other reviews. When we entered the store, the employee was watching a football game on his phone. I don't have an issue in and of itself with that when it's not busy, but when we went up to him and asked about how much a specific tie was, all he said was "expensive." We had to further inquire about the actual price and he eventually gave it to us, but to answer a basic query like that is a bit unfathomable from a customer service perspective. It felt like we were in the movie Pretty Woman. We were both shocked at the experience and left the store very disappointed. I'm hoping that the store can live up to its current 4.9 rating for other customers, but we will not be back after that experience.
I don’t recommend the store the guy working there is racist and he is very rude, he doesn’t have any communication skills and very bad attitude. Very poor hospitality of customer service. He try to bullying and abuse me. What happened is I asked him the price of suit but he doesn’t want to help me and they way he is talking is very rude and I was with my uniform of construction and he thought me that I can’t afford the price and he told go to Zara to buy suit because the price is cheaper than the store. He was using racist words because of my skin colour is black and he follows me until the door even outside. I am not try to blackmail the store and the business but I am writing what happened to me. Don’t be racist “Black Lives Matter”
I walked in as I had always been curious about this store. I was asking about an outfit in the window I liked, the female sales associate was very friendly, but the male sales associate immediately said very rudely (no hello or anything, and it felt like I was bothering him), "this is slim fit"... and did not give me a chance to ask about the shorts I was interested in. He then definitively said about another shirt I wasn't interested in "this will fit you but we can order this in". I said no thanks and walked out. Why would I spend money in a store where I am spoken to so rudely? I'll spend my money elsewhere.
I was very impressed with level of service. I arrived in the morning the day before an important event and was able to pick up my suit later that afternoon.
I bought my wedding outfit and several office dress shirts and pants and the team of Eddie and Angelica have always been great to me. Eddie got me matching Hugo Boss shoes and a belt that wasn't available in my size at the Hugo Boss store at Yorkdale. I highly recommend them and appreciate helping making me feel and look better than ever. Large selection, customized, personal, and high quality. If you're looking for a tailored experience and are looking to invest in clothes to make you feel and look top-notch, head over to Carpe Diem. Prices are on the higher-end, but is definitely worth it if you don't mind spending more for a quality product that you can wear over and over again. I look forward to visiting them when I can.
