For the past few years, Spadina Museum has played host to the Not Far From The Tree City Cider Event that showcases different ciders from across Ontario. If you love ciders, this is a fun family event with food, entertainment and the opportunity to explore the Spadina Museum itself which is a former home of a wealthy and prominent family that details life in the 1920s. Much of the house is restored and has guides in each room to explain the function of each room. It's pretty interesting if you like to know more about Toronto history.

First time visit, but I Loved it, because there was a history to it. When you go there you will love it, fun for the whole family..

I was really happy with how well run a recent event at this museum was! An outdoor event in the rain could spell a nightmare but the team were well prepared and made sure most attractions were in tents. The gardens were stunning! The museum itself is beautiful and our tour guide exceeded all expectations with his knowledge base! I would go again for sure!!!

I've always heard of the Spadina Museum, but never had a chance to go until I stumbled upon it during Open Doors. Though I only had a small amount of time to explore, I did enjoy what it had to offer. It was nice to learn about local history and get a sense of what it was like to live in Toronto, during that time frame. I found the staff to be very friendly and quite knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions I had. I was quite impressed that they had a good chunk of the original decor from the Austin Family. The house is restored to the 1920s time period, which make it great for an morning, or early afternoon stroll. The gardens in the spring/summer is also great to check out.

A small, but interesting museum. Great for people interested in local history and interior design. The tour is very informative and not rushed, so there's time to have a good look at the house. Restored with great attention to detail. And the garden is lovely.
