Went to the store and they didn’t have any stock of light sample paints. Called a few locations and none of them have white sample bases to mix some light samples. Some locations said they haven’t had any for months. Also phone number on google listing seems to be screwed up. Kept calling different locations than expected (sorry to the guy @1600 avenue location for calling so many times). The employee was nice and helpful but couldnt mix us samples as somehow the paint store didnt have paint for samples.
I was in there today, Saturday, June 15th 2024. A gentleman who was working there made my match dark and I told him I can see it. I'm going to need another match and he said to me oh it's probably because there was dust all over it. I keep my matches in pristine shape to make sure for when I'm spot priming that might match is as close as possible. I asked him if he was going to make me a new match as this one was too dark and he said sorry there's nothing I can do for you. I said are you sure you don't want to try cuz I'm going to go to your other store on Avenue road and Lawrence and I'm going to get them to make me a match if you can't as I'm a deluxe customer and painter myself. He told me there's dirt on the sample and I clearly know he's lying as I keep my matches in baggies right from the job site. I'm not satisfied with this as this has been my main go-to store. I believe this gentleman needs training
We went to the store to get some paint to give a new look to our apartment. There was a young lady working there called Mitra. She went above and beyond to help us get what we were looking for. We had no idea that we were supposed to prep the walls. She explained everything in details and offered high quality products. We're in love with our wall. The staff there are amazing and the products are superb. Would definitely go back and recommend the place.
William was kind, efficient, organized, astoundingly knowledgeable, honest, and very helpful on the occasions we visited the store. William’s expertise made shopping a breeze, he listened well to meet all of our needs quickly and confidently, and I left the store in such a great mood after each very pleasant encounter. Cannot recommend him and this location enough!
This was the best paint buying experience. Seriously. This incredible staff, seamless with paint knowledge. High ranking. No BS. No question is too stupid. We experienced keen professionalism, passion for their product with an immediacy of service delivered. Abdullah the Manager talks the customer's language: A gracious class act who guides you with no pressure and goes over the large order repeatedly for efficacy. They even let us name a unique shade they created for us, inspired by our mom. William is incredible at mixing. And props to the lovely team player Trin, who sold us on how 'awesome' her manager Abdullah is, and how his help would come through for our situation. So far, her words ring true. Looking very forward to trying this paint. Will soon write part 2 to keep you posted.
Revisit this store! Complete turnover in staff. William and Trin are extremely helpful. What a pleasure! Almost makes me look forward to painting? Five stars just aren’t enough.
Not that impressive on my very first visit. Compared with Canadian Tire, this shop didn't have a friendly and knowledgeable attendant. We're just looking for simple wall paint for our living room and the only staff there didn't help much rather trying to fool us with buying a more expensive paint just because.
