I have occasion regularly to request technical advice from Maple Paints, advice that has always proved its worth. Today, for example, I was searching for a painter capable of performing specific preparatory work, and was able to get a number of names of local painters. Maple Paints has been a consistent source of advice and inspiration. I highly recommend them.
I recently had to pick up some paint here and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. However, I was surprised and very disappointed to discover that most of them were unmasked, which is pretty irresponsible two years in to a pandemic. I won't be coming in again because of that. I probably would have just walked out and gone elsewhere if I had more time. There are other Benjamin Moore locations that have excellent COVID safety (this is in fact the first I've visited that has unmasked staff). It is probably better/safer to shop elsewhere if you're concerned about COVID. It's a shame really because Maple otherwise seems like a decent, helpful local business.
I recently started to go here for my paint supplies and the two previous interactions were knowledgable and in depth. What bothered me was the third time i visited i got such completely lackluster service. The tall Caucasian guy gave me little help, recommended no particular brand or bothered to ask questions. He didn't even show me which brand and just handed me a pamphlet. He even tried to pass off food grade garden friendly wood sealer for "environmentally friendly". Which both are utterly different. I guess he was looking to make commission on my sale and thought that my home project wasn't worth spending time helping with. He certainly didn't show any interest in giving me sound recommendations or very good CSR. If you have to go here be careful who you ask for help.
