Great organic market on Thursday 3-7pm: inside in winter, outside when conditions allow. Summertime communal meal service on Fridays. Excellent green space with basketball court and kiddies play area. Convenient access by bus and subway.
This is a fairly large city park. It has a free skating rink and volleyball nets. There are fire pits that you can reserve as well. The public bathrooms aren't the cleanest but if you can't make it to the Dufferin Mall, they'll do. The play equipment and splash pad are in the shade so makes it nice on a hot day. There is a year-round farmer's market on Thursdays that is very popular. Many vendors have takeaway items such as pizza and crepes. They are a bit expensive but nice nonetheless. It's quite popular with locals.
Best park in Toronto. This is a unique event and I hope that it keeps rolling! Great farmers market on Thursdays. Nice place for a full day picnic.
One of the loveliest green spaces I've been in for a long time. Complete with great playground equipment, ball courts, picnic tables, and fire pits. Went there for a party with friends and it was lovely, as I walked to our reserved fire pit passed people who had set up a swing on a hill, multiple people picnicing, lots of little patches of trees. The park staff were friendly, made sure we knew where we should go for wood. A great space.
Great Park. Lots of space for everyone. Summer months there is a skateboard park in the skating rinks. There is a large playground and splash pad. Farmers market and other community happenings. Community garden. Free parking on the side streets or across the street at Dufferin Mall.
