My doctor sent in a prescription to be filled here...our first time. I provided our insurance claim info when I went to pick up the prescription to the lady on a Sunday. She tried a few times and for some reason could not process the claim through Sunlife. Informed her the insurance is under my wife and that we have been with them for many many years and have never had a claim issue. She informed me "spouse" was not covered. Hmmm? We called Sunlife the next day Monday and they informed my wife that there have been no changes to the plan and they would have seen on their end an "attempt at a claim" but there was none. Sunlife double checked and there was no issues with our plan. The lady at the pharmacy had previously said the spouse was not covered so she must have attempted to make the claim but Sunlife had no record that an attempt was ever made. Confused and frustrated I informed the pharmacy that I will take that prescription somewhere else if they could not resolve the issue by Monday night. After 2 days of back and forth and many calls the pharmacy finally were able to fix whatever the problem was and make the claim. To this day, we still have not received an explanation from the pharmacy why they could not submit through Sunlife. Maybe they don't like dealing with insurance companies? Just very odd and fishy!! Never again. Beware!!
I received both my Covid vaccinations at Sam's IDA - the first, AstraZeneca, and the second, Pfizer. The whole experience was professional and seamless, from the web booking to the actual vaccination. I would strongly recommend this small pharmacy for their personal touch.
Dear Sam's IDA I made a call today, June 21, 2021 around 10:30 am to confirm my husband 2nd vaccination. The pharmacist ( I did not get a chance to get his name) whom I talk to was sound so rude to tell me that "if you know your husband appointment, you should check it in our website. I responded to him, " you should not be upset talking to me because I am asking you nicely. And he responded to me, "Oh because I am busy". It is so sad to know that we been your customer since 2016, and this is our first time to deal with this kind of person. I don't know if he is new or not. His customer service is way down the drainage. I think being rude to talk to your customer is not necessary despite how busy you are to your job.
Attended for 2nd Covid shot. Excellent web site and appointment/reminder system. Friendly staff. Pharmacist (Sam) was a pleasure to deal with...friendly, attentive, professional and gentle! Thank you for the positive experience.
Lead pharmacist is quite rude and not willing to have a civil discussion. He thinks he is right in every scenario, and was unable to admit that he or his team had made a mistake. He told me I was wasting his time when I came for an appointment that was booked by him.
Excellent and efficient! Got my second Astra Zeneca vaccine there. Very easy to negotiate making an appointment. BTW they are doing 2nd shots for anyone who got the first between March 10 and 19 today June 6 all day until 9…walk ins accepted.
