The sign on the entrance door states that the store operates from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. I arrived at 9:00 AM and waited for almost 30 minutes. The staff was walking inside, but they did not open the door at the stated opening time. I waited until 9:30 AM and then left. I don’t understand why the store lists 9:00 AM as the opening time if it does not actually open then. This is extremely irresponsible behaviour.
The customer service person was not doing his job properly. I came to shop, and then when I finish, I should go to my work. I waited in line among some senior people. I noticed the customer service person was chatting to a woman who spoke his language, which I believe was Spanish or Portuguese. This was my first time seeing him; as far as I knew, He was new at the job. The woman had given him a long paper, and he was translating it from English to Spanish while ignoring the other customers. I informed him this wasn't right because the woman had not purchased anything. He said, "Wait in line." I went to find out who the manager is. The manager, Ibrahim, arrived, and I informed him what had transpired. He didn't care and instructed me to wait. I informed him the woman hadn't bought anything and that elderly people were waiting, but he didn't care and simply let me leave. It would be helpful if staff were more attentive, and the management should explained policies clearly, and ensured that enough team members are available during busy hours. I will not come again to this Shoppers Drug Mart. Not good service at all, the only one is the greatest. Christine is the lady in the cosmetics department, and I rate her five stars.
I had a great experience at this branch thanks to the manager, Margaux. I came in looking for a product my wife asked me to buy, and tbh, I was a bit nervous about choosing the wrong one since it was a women’s product. Margaux was incredibly patient and kind—she walked me through all the options, explained the differences clearly, and made sure I left with exactly what I needed. Her professionalism and friendly attitude made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Highly recommend this location for their excellent customer service.

Had a really great experience at Shoppers Drug Mart last week. I went in to get passport photos done and wasn’t sure what to expect, but the manager, Margaux, went above and beyond. Really disappointing experience tonight. This review is specifically about the security guard, not the store staff. The security guard kept staring at me the entire time while I was just looking at makeup. He then came over to ask us repeatedly whether we were going to buy a magazine, even though we were simply flipping through it normally and holding it in our hands — nothing suspicious at all. When we went to pay, he approached my partner again to question why we didn’t buy the magazine. It felt like we were being treated as suspicious for absolutely no reason. I come to this store often — this has never happened before. Please provide proper training for your security team on how to treat customers respectfully.
