Worst pharmacy in the history of everything. Never have your meds on time, tell you to come tomorrow, never have it for tomorrow though. Only need one of your meds? They'll fill and charge you for all 3 even though you didn't need them! And then look at you like YOU'RE crazy when you try to straighten it out! Used to be an amazing pharmacy, changed hands and has gone to shit. Changing pharmacies ASAP
The prices today, November 24, were the same prices that were supposed to be removed yesterday. This is misleading advertising for customers. When I asked about it, the cashier was rude and told me they were “too busy” to remove the prices , that is not an acceptable answer. She should honour the price that is displayed. I was nice and respectful the entire time, but despite that, when I was paying she even questioned whether my credit card was mine. This was unnecessary and disrespectful. I will be reporting both of these behaviours.
The one star is just for Lida, not the store or the location. I went in to return a nail polish that I bought this morning, and the staff member Lida was very rude and arrogant from the start. She told me in a dismissive tone that they do not accept returns for nail polishes. I politely requested if she could consider an exchange instead, and after making several fed-up facial expressions, she finally agreed, then walked away, leaving me confused about whether I should be following her or go grab the product myself. I asked if I could go get it, and she snapped “yes, go!” in a very rude tone. When I came back with the replacement, she was helping another customer at the far end of the cosmetics area. She told me to move aside so she could bill that customer, even though the customer wasn’t there yet. Once she finally processed my exchange, she handed me the new receipt but didn’t return my original one, which had other items on it. When I asked for it back, she looked annoyed again and questioned why I needed it. After some muttering and clicking on her computer, she picked up the original receipt that had been sitting right beside her the whole time and handed it to me. Overall, Lida was extremely rude, frustrated, and arrogant throughout the entire interaction. She made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable over something that could have been handled politely in a minute. I also noticed she chooses to smile and be friendly only to certain customers, which is very disappointing.
I had a great experience getting my recent vaccine at Shoppers Drug Mart with Pharmacist Jason. The process was super quick and completely painless — I barely felt a thing! Jason was professional, friendly and made the whole experience stress-free. Highly recommend!
Don't expect this Shoppers location to serve new prescriptions late at night even though they are open until midnight. They will give you a vague answer about not having access to "mail". You should go to a proper and professional local pharmacist instead. I've never had a good experience at any Shoppers pharmacy but this one is a whole new level of incompetence.
They would do good knocking the perfume section down to a single wall and freeing up some space for their CPG foods area. Frozen section is poorly stocked. I have stopped going to this location, due to the fact that I was harassed by a secret shopper, who, just because I put my shaving blades and products into my basket, decided to profile me as being a thief. Even after I stopped and spoke to him, indicating I was well aware that he was following me around and that I was an adult in my 40s, and that he need not follow me around blaring into my ear an actual conversation he was having in an unknown language with whom, I assume was his significant other, as I heard her voice as well blaring the whole time, and for which must be nice to be paid to walk around and talk to family and friends in neither official language while working in a place, that should be requiring via their outside contracts, that if they are not going to follow employment laws, that at least they can do it in a respectable volume, that doesn't have to be disruptive to their clientele, to the point they can't hear themselves think, about why they came there and what they might be shopping for, while minding my own business, expecting not to be harassed while shopping. By the end of it, I had asked him four seperate times to stop harassing me (I was in shorts and a t-shirt without a bag, so not exactly sure if he thought I was going to run out the store with my basket but excessive wasn't the word for the degree in which I felt harassed and due to that fact, I'll not spend another dollar at this location). He continued to ignore me and pretend he didn't hear me clearly say to him that I was shopping not stealing and that he take his personal paid call away from my ears from being flooded by it. Lacked any professionalism and even after speaking with the security guard, indicating that I understood everyone had a job to do, and that I don't know, maybe it was a slow day for them and the quota of adults that are shopping ($130) by the time I was done, but for which I will not spend at this location again, and frankly speaking, for which if I had the time and the location was open, I would have left and gone to a competitor instead. There was no need for this experience and I stated four times, that I was aware of his presence, since he was basically on top of me through four aisles blarring into his phone and in my ear. Worst experience at Shoppers I've ever had, and the staff there are kind too, which is a shame.
This was one of the most humiliating and infuriating customer service experiences I’ve ever witnessed — and all because of how the store manager, Devika, handled a very simple situation with completely unnecessary hostility. My girlfriend and I made a purchase at this Shoppers Drug Mart but had to leave in a hurry and accidentally left behind one of the items (a mascara). We realized this within 10 minutes and immediately called the store. A staff member named Mika kindly confirmed they had the item and told us to come in and collect it. What happened next was completely unacceptable. When my girlfriend arrived at the store, instead of simply verifying the situation like any reasonable manager would, Devika accused her of trying to steal and treated her with complete disrespect. She threatened to check the cameras — not to clarify, but with a clear tone of suspicion and aggression, as though my girlfriend had done something wrong. It was insulting, demeaning, and absolutely uncalled for. We had already spoken to store staff. There was no need for this kind of treatment. The lack of basic courtesy, professionalism, and emotional intelligence displayed by Devika is shocking — especially coming from a manager at a national pharmacy chain. We don’t mind protocol. We don’t mind verification. What we do mind is being treated like criminals for being honest customers. Shoppers Drug Mart — if this is the kind of leadership you endorse, you seriously need to reevaluate your standards. I will be thinking twice before shopping here again, and I urge others to be wary of how they may be treated at this location.
