Absolutely blown away! We were debating on going to one of the ramen chains on Queen street that we are used to but decided to try something new - THANK GOD we did! It was truly the best ramen we have had to-date. The flavours of the broth and handmade noodles were to die for. We cannot wait to go back!!!!!!

I had a hankering for paitan so I decided to drop by and get the yuzu scallop shio paitan. I had the thin noodles, but got the thick noodles as a refill, and I enjoyed the latter more. The broth was creamy, the toppings were delicious (especially the scallop), and the yuzu added a hint of fruity sourness that cut through the rich broth.

What a freakin’ great place. Literally best Karaage in town. To be fair, I’ve eaten at many Ramen/Karaage places before but this is superb. Service at its best. Size of the dishes appropriate. We’ll see each other again!

Compared to many American-style ramen places nearby, this one tastes much more authentically Japanese, with noticeably fewer adjustments for North American preferences. I ordered the spicy miso ramen, which came with a piece of kakuni and some stir-fried vegetables, served with thick noodles. The kakuni was braised really well—super flavorful —and the vegetables had great wok aroma from being cooked over high heat. However, the chili oil in the broth was a bit overpowering, which made the miso flavor hard to detect. Since it’s called “spicy miso,” I was hoping to taste more of the miso itself, so there’s still some room for improvement there.(Level 1 spiciness was already quite hot!) I think my friend’s yuzu scallop ramen is actually more worth trying. Even in Japan, it would be considered a very good clear-broth ramen. The flavor is clean and sweet but still layered, and the yuzu fragrance blends perfectly into the broth, giving it a mellow and refreshing finish. The thin noodles were also high-quality and cooked well. Another friend ordered the truffle shoyu ramen, which was also pretty good. The broth had a slightly French creamy-soup vibe, but it paired very nicely with the noodles. Both bowls also came with excellent chashu—really well-done. Being able to eat ramen of this level in Toronto makes me genuinely happy! The server was very friendly too. Thank you for the great service (¯︶¯)。

Was having a pretty terrible day, the music, service and amazing winter special picked me right up! Queen Street is already filled to the brim with great food spots, but this is a must try.

The service was super good and food came out fast! the truffle paitan and yuzu scallop paitan was super rich and not overpowering at all. Thank u Manami!

Edit: have been here 4x, pictures reflect multiple visits Having tried 20+ ramen restaurants in Toronto, and several in Tokyo, I can safely say this is THE best ramen joint in Toronto and can hold its own against some of the more modern ramen restaurants in Tokyo. So much so that I'm not even going to try the next few places on my list, in favour of coming back here and trying some of their other signature ramens. The yuzu scallop shio consomme looks like an absolute piece of art. The ramen components are exceptionally prepared, and come together beautifully in a perfect bowl of soup, noodles, and toppings. Everything is prepared in house, and it really comes across in both taste and presentation. It is a beautiful bowl they embodies what ramen should be. For the price is barely more expensive than Kinton Ramen, which really goes to show how accessible this is. Their signature broths are delicious; flavourful and full of umami. We had both the yuzu scallop shio paitan and the truffle shoyu consomme. Shoyu is my favourite ramen base, and this broth was so addicting. The yuzu scallop base is a tonkatsu broth but the citrus really helped cut through the richness, allowing you to slurp down the entire bowl without it feeling too heavy. Noodle quality is very good; perfectly springy and chewy, making it a satisfying slurp. They also give you a free refill of a half bowl of noodles; not customary at all and very appreciated. The chasu was also delicious; they provided both chicken and pork. Unlike other cuts of chasu, these slices were the perfect portion size. Not too thick, and overly fatty. For appetizers, we had both the scallop sashimi, and guytan. Scallops were so fresh and the gyutan was perfectly grilled for thag beefy taste. We also had the seasonal Curacao drink, and it was aesthetic and delicious. It came with gummy goldfish, which added both a interesting look and great citrus flavour. For dessert, we had their almond tofu. It tasted almost like vanilla bean ice cream. Sooo creamy and not overly sweet. Perfect way to end a meal.
