Had a really, really wonderful experience with these guys ordering from BC. I reached out to them to see if they had a few limited edition records I've been looking for that were listed as out of stock, and they went out of their way to track them down for me from other locations and brought them in so I wouldn't have to make multiple orders. They were very helpful advising me on purchasing the records I wanted that were in-stock and marking them as "pick up in store", and then made sure they were included with the ones they'd tracked down for me when they notified me they were listed online for purchase for me. Everything arrived safe and sound promptly about three days ago, and it was all packed very carefully and in excellent condition. Shipping was fast, efficient, and they really made a kind of complicated sale very painless for me. The reason I still want to go to specialized record stores like this instead of buying online from big box distributors is because of stuff like this -- the salespeople actually know the product they're selling and really care about using their knowledge to make sure you get what you need with as pleasant of an experience as possible. Didn't have any problems with my order but I'm sure if I did, they'd be easy to work it out with. Thanks again for the records, I love them so much! The next time I'm looking for limited presses that I can't find locally, I know where to look.
This store has such great variety for especially the young female demographic. The staff are always willing to help you find the record you’re looking for and they even have a student discount!
The best independent record store in Toronto. They organize listening parties and release events that are posted on their social media, staff is very friendly and you can find lots of rare records. You can buy online on their website and pick up in store.
Nice store located near a subway station which makes it easy to get to. Many sealed, new releases records, but on the lower shelf used vinyl. The used records selection is not extensive, but the prices are very reasonable. The jazz section is very small. CDs are available at decent prices.
By far my favourite record shop in the city. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, as well as super kind. For the most part, if they don’t have what you’re looking for ( and that’s rare..) they’ll be able to order it in for you to pick up. They always have the best sales, always catering to the mega nerd audiophiles of the community (myself included, lol). Simply the best.
The staff were super helpful in finding all the records I wanted. They gave me plenty of time to check them out, never rushed me, and overall made the experience extremely pleasant. If you are looking for hidden gems, great prices, and good times, check this store out!
What an amazing company and highly professional customers service! I would give them ten stars, if this would be possible. A few weeks ago, I bought a GrooveWasher cleaning kit for records on their site and when I received it, I noticed that there was a leak in the box. The bottle of cleaning liquid was wet outside and lost about 20 percent of its content. I took a few photos of the damage to the box and sent an email to Dead Dog Records not expecting a big deal. It was not their error nor mine, and in fact I just wanted to inform them what happened. But, after several days, they sent me an email with an apology and the information that they will try to find me a replacement bottle. I just received a package and when I opened the box, there was not one, but two bottles - one, smaller, with mist spray and liquid and the other with the refill. There was also a label protection pad. This is what I call perfect service.
