I recently brought 2 of my turntables for repair and tuneup and I must say that my records have never sounded better. Due to a number of issues and recent repairs, I am finally hearing my Dual turntable and totem speakers in all their glory. Thank you thank you thank you. Now to bring in my Marantz receiver!!
Messed up an old player I got from my parents recently and was looking to get it fixed up. Lots of places here have absolutely insane pricing, so when I came here and got a reasonable price for what I needed done I was very quick to hand it over to them. Owner was very understanding and reassured me it was a quick fix to get it working good as new. 10/10 for service, pricing and just general charm from the workers :]
I found two albums on their website that I had been searching for some time and decided to order. Wasn't in a rush to receive them, so went with the standard option. The price was very reasonable and Dragonfly have been great with any previous orders they've delivered to me. One album was used, and they did not mislead me. The jacket is VG+ and the album itself is near mint. Impressive! The other was a new album, so was in great condition. This was a good experience and I will keep looking on their site for albums I can't find in Ottawa. When I'm in Toronto this fall, will certainly visit the store.
Super happy with the service at tonality! I brought in an early 1980s turntable for repair. They diagnosed the issue with it quickly, kept me informed about what it required and asked me at each step whether I wanted to proceed with specific repairs. The repairs were done quickly and very professionally. I also wanted to pick up a pair of used speakers to go with the turntable and they helped me make a selection based on where I would be using them and what type of music I would be listening to. Overall it was a great experience and I'm happy to return in future!
This little record store hosts a sensible selection of new and used vinyl, modern mixing gadgets, and an assortment of old school home hi-fi delights. Julian diagnosed, stripped down and repaired my old 70s turntable in 7 days. Give them a go, I feel you won’t leave empty handed or disappointed with your visit. Respect!
Brought an old Dual turntable in since I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. Tino diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes and fixed it with parts he had on hand. The store is very clean and organized and I will go back to pick up some vinyl.
My experience with Tonality Records was great from start to finish. Both Julian and Tino were very knowledgeable and super helpful. I purchased a selection of used records as well as a vintage record player, speakers and amplifier over a 2-day span. Excellent service in a casual and welcoming environment.
