I went for breakfast and the food was decent. Really disappointed however, when I went 20 min before it closed and the owner had already shut down!! Apparently 5pm is when he leaves. He stops serving at 4:30 and cleans for a 1/2 hour. It’s kind of false advertising. He said he has to drive a far way to get home to Scarborough. Then the hours should read until 4:30, not 5. Since it’s the only place that offers food services in the building, I had to go and find something else. Kind of inconvenient and disappointing. It would be good if he either started to clean up at 5 or change his listed hours. Adding to review: Went for their grilled cheese after being enticed by the photos on their advertisements. Was extremely disappointed. Spent 7 dollars on a thin sandwich barely the size of my hand. Please see photos. I found an Aroma Expresso Bar in Mt Sinai where I got a much better sandwich for the same amount of money. Money much better spent.
If you need a quick bite to eat with loved ones definitely check this place out. Not only is the service amazing, the food is just as great :) especially the BLT
This Deli is somewhat hidden in the lobby of the KITE Center in the University Hospital Complex right off University Ave. You MUST have the chili. Even if it's summer. The food is delicious because the cook is also the person behind the counter. This is some of the best medicine on the block.
My husband went there today at 9 am had the best service there he’s ever had he said the lady is the sweetest there food was delicious he gives it a 10 out of 10
Tasty home made style sandwiches and hearty soups. Very friendly customer service from all the staff. The location is convenient Inside Toronto Rehab and a good place to get coffee to start the day. Beats Tim hortons
I had a corned beef on rye, 1/2 a pickle, caesar salad and a Perier water and paid over $30. So quite pricey for average food. And I had to really search as the signage was almost non existent.
Monday for lunch I expected nice fresh rye bread for my corned beef sandwich. Little did I know, or expect for what I used to think was a reputable chain, that my rye bread was actually waiting for me there from Friday or maybe even longer. It was not good, dry, stale. I've had a few hit/miss experiences with this chain where even the head office was involved but this is the last time I'll ever visit one of their locations. You make sandwiches, you can't have stale bread guys, it's part of the beauty. Well for some restaurants it is anyways. No sandwich from Druxy's for me anymore.
