There are some stores that change your view of a chain, and unfortunately, this location did that for me. I had new Michelin CrossClimate tires installed and balanced at this Kal Tire location on November 18, 2025, at a cost of $340. On November 21—less than three days later and with under 200 km of driving—one of the tires failed due to a nail puncture. Even though the tires were purchased elsewhere, they were brand-new, and I expected the installation and follow-up service to reflect that. I was charged $61.13 for the repair. After the service, I also noticed that the technician had installed a mismatched, random valve cap on my wheel instead of my original one, which should not occur with professional workmanship. Overall, the experience was both poor and expensive, and it did not meet the level of service quality I expected.
Just want to shout out Hassan and his team for taking care of my 10 year-old Audi this year. Took the car in for new tires and then took it back after a nasty pothole resulted in a broken strut. Their team replaced the struts/shocks for all 4 tires in less than a couple of days and performed a bunch of overdue maintenance. There was a problem with one of the parts and they took the car and resolved the situation same day. Consistent, reliable service. A+
Overall good experience did what I asked to. Deshean was very attentive and made sure that I knew what was going on and looked after me well. Would return for my tire needs.
Great service! Even though I didn't book a time. I'm not happy being charged extra to change tires on rims when I'm getting all 4 brakes done Tires need to come off anyhow!
If I could give minus five stars it would be better. "How much is it to rotate the tires?" my question. Their answer "90 minutes". I assume for 10 minutes work they charge at least 150 dollars. I laughed I walked away....THESE ARE CALLED SCAM CANADIAN BUSSINESSES.
Horrific experience Mar 21, 2022 by PATRICIA CROWLEY. They ripped me off and took my car on a 102km joy ride with a vacuum stolen from my trunk. It looked like there was a bull fight in my trunk and my car was covered in thick mud. I called head office but little was done. They. Told me the repairs would cost $800. But charged my card $1322.21 or so without my knowledge or consent. They refunded $150. only for the repair overcharge. They also paid for the cost of cleaning the car and a bit for gas.I’m still short and the repairs I had were less than what was quoted in the $800.00 quote which would have cost less than 800$ but charged 1322.$. This was the worst experience of my life. I’m not sure what I’m going to do now. I was made to feel guilty about accepting a small refund which I had to fight for and haggle over. From what I understand they are continuing to employ this manager even after he took my car on 102 km shopping spree and promptly left the country. He almost forgot all the bags from his shopping excursion he had left in my trunk. After complaining to head office they did contact me with an area manager who reluctantly refunded a portion of my overcharges, but it wasn't without a fight and far from making me whole. In the end I felt like the guilty party as he complained about my asking for more money than he initially wanted to refund me. How can you repay for someone taking your vehicle and driving 102 km without my permission. He didn't even clear the trip km and returned my car in thick muck. When said location manager pulled his packages from the trunk he pulled the housing covering the back lights right off and the housing was left hanging there loose. They did repair that to my satisfaction at least. They said that they would replace the vacuum that was missing from the trunk. I am waiting on that.. Location: Carlaw Ave. Store May 2024 So the manager Hassan did come out to my place where my car was on the street after one of my new tires was flat after getting them reinstalled after going flat after new tire installation. While something did go horribly wrong, Hassan came out on his day off to put the spare on. It was the long weekend so it wasn’t until Tuesday that I was able to take my car in for all of the tires to be checked and fixed. He did make an effort and has redeemed hisself. For now the tires seem fine but it looks like in the future I will be needing to replace the rims. I am satisfied with that work and will return when I need the rims in the near future. Thank you Hassan and company.
2023 Edit: Things have greatly improved since Noticeable decline in service in 2021: I have been a long-standing customer of Carlaw Tire, where every visit was incredibly managed by Al. Unfortunately my past 2 experiences in 2021 are making me weary of continuing. Firstly there is often not a staff at the cash. At both of my last 2 visits I have waited 10 minutes before saying 'Hello' or popping my head through the garage door glass. I'm not sure if I have been simply unlucky in timing. Second, I recently had a winter tire changed scheduled for mid-Sunday. An hour after dropping off my car I was called to advise that the warehouse had not delivered my tires so the change could not occur. It was re-scheduled for Friday at 11:30am. When I showed up Friday at 11:30am I was told that there was no appointment scheduled. Thankfully Al fit my car in that day, but this was a frustrating experience all in all.
