I was going to purchase a vehicle from this guy and changed my mind after reading the reviews. If the proprietor thinks reviews do not matter, think again.
Unfortunately I have no other choice but to give a 1 star, if that. With my families experience very recently, we do not recommend buying a vehicle with this company. They sold us a vehicle where the frame is completely rotted and cracked. We trusted this company for a family vehicle and livelihood for work, but they were not honest. We were told from a commercial safety business that it should not have passed safety. In return we have received rudeness, and dismissiveness trying to rectify the situation.
An overall 4.5 star rating is extremely inaccurate, went to look at a vehicle that they said required replacement of a single part and otherwise in “great” condition as it was a vehicle they’ve been maintaining. The vehicle had a major issue that bothered tenants in the area, that they failed to advertise on Kijiji or disclose when I called them. After asking for a fix to remedy this issue they rudely told me to “get out” multiple times. Drove 2+ hours to be served with extreme disappointment and dishonesty.
I purchased a used vehicle from Queen Compact Cars in 2016 and they have serviced it since then. They have consistently provided timely and professional service, advising what needs to be done versus what can wait or what is not necessary at all (not a safety issue). Their estimates are accurate and their prices are reasonable especially compared to dealerships. I have found them to be honest and dependable. I recommend Queen Compact Cars wholeheartedly.
Not enough can be said of Mario and Joe. It is a great feeling to have a local dealer/mechanic you know and trust. My wife and I live up the street from the shop, so it is incredibly convenient to be able to take our vehicles to a place that always treats us like family and are among the most honest and reliable people we know. I have been going there almost 15 years now and my wife has been with them even longer. I can't count the number of times they came to the rescue and got our vehicles in for repair when needed. Naturally all of our maintenance is done with them as well. Highly recommended.
We have been dealing with Mario, Joseph and the whole family for many years, both buying and selling cars. Mario is also one of the few people in Toronto who can service vintage automobiles and took tender care of our 1956 Chevy Bel Air Convertible. Can’t recommend them highly enough! Nicholas Dietrich
I have bought 3 cars from queen street compact cars and joe over the years. I usually buy older model cars from joe and have been very happy with my purchase. These guys know used cars. I also get my cars serviced there and would take my car no other place.
