The store just isn’t what it used to be. The staff barely acknowledges you anymore, which gives the whole place a weird, disconnected vibe. Honestly, I didn’t love the energy. The product itself is fine, but nothing standout or worth going out of my way for. Kinda disappointing for a spot that used to feel so much more curated and intentional.

the original vintage! i remember coming here from oshawa as a kid as such a highlight of our toronto trips. i dropped in recently and still love this spot. good prices and cool stuff.

I’ve been going to the Black Market for over 12 years - it’s always been an incredible experience. However, yesterday around 6/7PM I went and was so appalled by one of workers. He was speaking about how he could physically harm his ex and get away with it, among other pretty disturbing comments. It’s crazy to me that he felt comfortable to speak like this in front of customers and that other staff members were not stopping him. I really love the space and products, but I’m put off by the misogynistic and violent rhetoric.

I like going here, I found lots of cool vintage items. However, it's not neurodivergent friendly. The music is so loud I can hear it blasting through my soundproof headphones, and the music while looking around makes me feel dizzy and nauseated which is unfortunate.

Rude and condescending staff. Beware of prices at the till being higher than marked on the racks. I was berated for caring about being charged more when I pointed it out.

Curated vintage that's pricey still but compared to other curated vintage stores it's the budget option. Value Village will always be my main but for a treat when I can I will go here to get guaranteed something special.

Black Market on Queen West is a classic vintage underground. I'm so glad it relocated back to the original place. Get over there and find your your stuff. Hell yeah.
