When I first entered the store, I couldn’t help but notice an immaculate smell. Clean, but warmly dusty. It’s as though the previous owners lovingly laundered their clothes, and carefully stowed them away in a vault, waiting for you to return to give their threads new life. Heaven! Roger and Maya are class acts, whose loves for vintage are abundantly clear. Roger’s James Dean dreamboat bomber contrasted beautifully with Maya’s western fringe vest. Effortlessly stylish, the team here has curated a beautiful and expansive selection of fashion, decor, and ephemera from over the years. But above all, their kindness is what truly sets them apart. Without being overbearing, I felt so welcomed, almost as though they were my distant relatives. Come with your open hearts and they will pay you in kind :). Immerse yourself amongst the racks of endless delight, and experience the nostalgia of the good old days. There’s truly something for everyone.

King of Kensington is a treasure trove for vintage lovers. Every visit feels like a little adventure — racks full of unique clothing for both men and women, from timeless denim and classic button-ups to standout statement pieces you won’t find anywhere else. The selection is well-curated, with items that are stylish, wearable, and full of character.

This has been one of my favourite vintage stores for the last dozen years. The price and the items are great. They have just moved to a new location last month at 217 Augusta Ave. This space is on the main floor, easy to access (does have 2 steps up at the entrance, I believe, but they’re fairly small steps) and has a nice large area with 2 change rooms. Picked up a few things there, as usual.

King Of KENSINGTON is PEAK Kensington Market vintage. Wonderfully curated and affordable priced clothing, jewelleries, and unique artifacts of cool. Roger, the hard-working owner operator, is a Kensington Original. Definitely worth your patronage! SUPPORT LOCAL!

Popped in on a whim during a Saturday afternoon walk and was impressed with the variety of vintage and second hand items. Discovered some great pieces of military surplus clothing that were well priced and in very good condition (better than many dedicated surplus stores I've been to). The person running the store that day was very friendly and showed genuine interest at my excitement about my findings. From flannel to Flecktarn you won't be disappointed here.

Kings Of Kensington is a true gem for vintage heads !! When I come into Kensington I always make an effort to check out there offerings and I never know what I will find. There staff is always helpful, patient, knowledgeable and always help me find that rare piece that I’m looking for. Thanks for the amazing Cowboy Boots I picked up today ✨✨ at your shop !!

Was told after leaving a money deposit on an item that they were open everyday of the week. The very next day I went to give the remaining money owed only to find them closed. Waited two hours he never opened. Second day I go he is closed. Waited another hour today. No phone number. If you don’t supply a phone number then at least be open once in a while

Hi Hank. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience about yesterday. A member of our staff who usually works on Tuesdays was in the hospital for a medical emergency and we had to close the store. We will be open again today with our regular hours of 12-6. We hope to see you soon, and again are very sorry this inconvenience. Sincerely, The King of Kensington Team
