The bakery was "under renovation" in late summer/early fall but I have suspicion to believe it may be under new ownership due to the lack of quality I received with my recent first visit post "reno" I ordered my favourite, the porchetta sandwich upon closer inspection after my first bite I noticed two different types of lettuce (rusted romaine and slimy spring mix) a unripe tomato with a hard yellow core and the meat was VERY questionable, some parts were dry and hard, others fatty and squishy - and not to mention maybe 1/4 amount of the meat that I would receive prior to August 2025. The entire sandwich flavour was not it, I opted to not consume it, severely disappointing for a $17 sandwich. I will not take the risk again in the future.

EVERYTHING at this bake shop is soooo fresh and delicious. I come at least twice a week since they opened. The quality ingredients never leave me feeling heavy or bloated. By far the best focaccia and pizza I’ve had in the city!

had such a great experience at this bakery. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh bread and pastries hits you in the best way. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious and flavorful. The staff is friendly and always ready to help you pick out something new. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!

Loved Anima Romana! Such a cute little spot and everything I tried was amazing. The pastries are fresh, the coffee’s great, and the whole place just has a good vibe. The staff was really sweet too, which always makes a difference. If you’re in Toronto, definitely swing by. It’s one of those places you end up thinking about later like, “yeah… I could go for another one of those.”

This bakery has become one of my favourite spots in the Upper Beaches. The bread is always fresh, the pizza is to die for, and the crostata is my favourite weekend treat. I highly recommend everyone paying Anima Romana Bakery a visit because it will not disappoint.

This bakery is a slice of Italy right in the Upper Beaches. Everything is baked fresh daily, from flaky pastries to rustic breads that are full of flavor. The espresso pairs perfectly with their sweet treats, and the cozy atmosphere. They have some tables outside you can enjoy your coffee and lunch in the sun. A must-visit for sure

Ever since the change in bakers, the focaccia and the bread has gone wrong. It looks like the ovens are not working properly and the bread is over cooked. The focaccia used to be bigger and fluffy now smaller and definitely no the dame. Too bad it was a great place to get fresh local stuff.
