I came in today to purchase a 6-pack of the holiday brownies as a gift. While the brownies themselves are always excellent, I was disappointed with the presentation. All six brownies were placed together in a small bakery box and ended up squished. Given that the holiday gift boxes have been heavily advertised on social media over the past few weeks, I had expected that type of packaging, or at least to be asked which option I preferred. I’m also deducting a star for customer service. When we were helped, the interaction felt rushed and a bit negative, as if we were interrupting something, and it took a few minutes before anyone came to the counter. This won’t stop me from coming back — the baked goods are consistently great — but especially during the holiday season, it would be appreciated if customers buying gift items were asked whether they’d like a presentation box or standard packaging
I went there yesterday to get the new flavors they dropped this month for the brownies and when I’m telling you they are the best brownies in Toronto I’m for real. You MUST try the Ferrero and the baileys one, they’re so rich and delicious, super soft and fresh. For a moment I thought they would be just all chocolate flavor and with a layer of smth else on top but no, each of them have a very particular flavor. 10000/10 I’ll definitely go back. I also got a cinnamon bun which it was delicious too! The staff was very very nice too, the place is cute and warm, cozy for a cup of coffee and some sweets. My only complain would be that there’s not alot of sitting space so you do have to arrive early if you don’t want to freeze outside! But when it comes to the sweets they definitely are one of the best places in all GTA, no doubt.
Easily the best brownies I've ever had. Ordered a box of the November flavors for my mom's bday and they were a huge hit! They're rich and hefty so one brownie goes a long way. If you like fudge brownies, these are the perfect texture and flavour! And every flavour was totally different and delicious. The brown butter was amazing if you're not as big on chocolatey flavours, the pistachio was probably my favorite.
Amazing, amazing desserts. Probably the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. But my goodness, the customer service at Death in Venice where this bakery is located is horrible. I’ve been there twice and the staff’s hostility is outstanding. I’ll stick to ordering from Uber Eats because I love the cake slices and I hope the bakery has its own standalone location soon!
My partner and I have come here many times for the brownies - we are big fans! So we decided to order two pies for thanksgiving (The apple crumble and the Rye Whiskey Pecan) They were both amazing, and a huge hit at my family Thanksgiving dinner! My partner and I both tell everyone we can about this spot, and we will continue to be frequent customers :) We 100% recommend!
Service is terrible, absolutely terrible. Desserts are decent but wow the lady that owns this place is rude and doesn’t have a bone of customer service on her. Unfortunately, the tasty dessert doesn’t compensate for an unpleasant in store experience.
I ordered my wedding cake from butter and spice. Marchelle did an amazing job!! The cake look gorgeous and tasted delicious!!! The ordering process was very easy, Marchelle was great to work with. We had a cake tasting to choose our desired flavour. Delivery to the venue was seamless. Highly recommend!!
