I really wanted to like this bakery. And after reading all the other positive reviews, I was excited to try everything. But this bakery was awful. The raisin bread was somehow moist and dry, and the raisins were just unpleasant tasting. The pecan bar was lacking in flavour, and really hard to chew. And I had a truly off-putting apricot pastry. And I spent roughly $30 on only 3 items. I wish there was some redeemable quality, as I rarely write a negative review, but there are definitely other bakeries within the Liberty Village vicinity that are way better tasting with a similar price tag.
Can we award more than five stars? Incredible selection, whole grain (and all ingredients!) used so intentionally, so cleverly, so successfully every item is a wonder. Dawn shares her knowledge effortlessly, so visiting you receive all kinds of benefits. The pace of the brick and mortar location felt different than a farmers market visit, in that there was more time to ask and answer questions, which was lovely. Completely worth the trip from California to experience this unique and ambitious bakery.

Do not pass up the chance to enjoy the amazing selection of goodies Dawn and her team bake up each week! Can’t even decide what I loved most. And supporting local, organic farmers growing whole grain goodness. Don’t walk, run to Evelyn’s!
Ordered a pack of Oat Cakes from Fresh City and they were delicious. I was blown over by the flavour, very delicate. We ate them with a strong tasting cheese and the mild sweetness of the crackers couldn't have complimented better!! I think these crackers are going to be a permanent fixture on my weekly grocery list going forward.
The flavours in the goods from Evelyn's are simply incomparable. I've tried many of their offerings, and have yet to taste anything whose creation wasn't masterfully executed. Artistry through grain. Once you know, there's no going back. Try their Sour Cherry Almond Gateau Basque...and Tahini Shortbread. Be prepared to be amazed.
