I would put more stars for the atmosphere if i could. Gorgeous space, well curated and chill for laptop work. I frequently order the Iced Strawberry Matcha drink, its the best in the city !

The coffee was okay but not pleasantly hot, a bit cooler than I prefer. Prices are a bit higher than other cafes at Roncy that have service at the table and constantly check with you to see if everything is ok. The staff could be friendlier and more welcoming. Many tables were occupied by people who weren’t even consuming anything.

The lemon polenta cake is absolutely deliciou! Not too sweet, the cream was fresh, silky and lemony, moist consistency and crumbly texture of the polenta. Would definitely come back for it!

The baked goods here are delicious, especially the apple fritter! However, do NOT get the matcha latte here, too much milk and too little matcha powder.

This is a beautiful, eclectically decorated café, right in the heart of Roncesvalles. The owners have attempted to accommodate as many people as possible in this busy area and as a result, the seating is cozy, but still very conducive to coffee and a chat. Our Cortados were perfectly prepared and the service was both friendly and attentive. On this visit, we did not sample the many in-house made pastry items on offer, but we certainly will return and try them next time. An excellent stop in this neighborhood.

2025: the café looks even nicer and it’s busier, now it has more seating by the window. The coffee is good with a bold flavour. There are at least 4 vegan options and so many other options, including savoury and GF. The sourdough donut is really nice! The innocent muffin is a bit too innocent & bland for me and it’s vegan GF. The Anzac cookie is nice and crunchy though small. 2024: Nice to see Fantail is open again for indoor seating and a drink & treat with real cups. The vegan option was a brownie which was a bit dry, maybe it was that particular batch. I know someone who’s a fan of their frittata croissant

Croissant had several thick layers of undercooked dough in the inside. The outside looked great, although a bit overdone/dry in a few spots. I think they need to adjust cooking time/temp to get it right. The flavour was good so it has potential. Dec 2023 update: stopped by again. My croissant had good texture, dough fully cooked this time. BUT way under-salted. It tasted so so plain. Neither myself nor my kids cared to finish it. I expect more from a nearly $5 croissant. They also did not offer to heat up my friends $8 quiche. Will never bother again.

Hi Meagan, Our baker was absolutely devastated to hear this. Because of the extreme cold a few weeks ago, there was one batch of croissants that, although was left to proof the regular amount we always do, didn't, because of the colder temperatures. We'd love if when you come in next, you could give us your name we'll put a croissant aside for you when you're in the area next. Stay safe!
