We live nearby so we've been here many times. However the service and care that Nora gave us yesterday inspired me to finally leave a review. So thank you Nora? I also have a huge request- could you please make your poppyseed-lemon cake more often. IMHO, it's your best cake, especially for price-taste ratio.
Needed something quick to grab and go - the blueberry scones were super dry and tasteless. One was super small and the other over sized. The coffee wasn’t that great either. Won’t be going back.
Top bakery in Toronto to date. Anything you buy here is wonderful. I am glad this place is not close by or we'd have to be very disciplined with our calorie intake :-)
The baked goods are good but the service quite consistently leaves a lot to be desired. I always feel like a burden to the staff who act like serving customers is the last thing they want to be doing.
DIRTY! OK place when it comes to coffee and sweets, but as far cleanliness/hygienic.... minus stars! The young ladies behind the counter have no propper manners, are non hygienic, sloppy , disorganized.... if I was the owner I'd look into hiring mature employees with more experience behind the counter! And keep the place clean! I've been coming here for years, and this place has become a dump!
Why are there never any wooden stir sticks for coffee? I'd rather not stir my coffee with a plastic straw or fork. Also one cashier in the morning serving a customer buying all the bread in the store while 5 people wait behind them. The next guy wants 6 muffins but apparently has never seen a muffin before so he needs a detailed description of each one. Do better. More staff
Such a cosy atmoshpere. First time visiting and had a great experience! All baked goods I tried were tasty and fresh. Had the chicken empanada, feta and spinach broiche, and almond croissant. For beverage, had an oat milk latte! Happy with the alternative dairy options! Latte was great! Will be returning!
