For a $5 almond croissant, I expected something much better. Unfortunately, it wasn't fresh and lacked the flaky texture that makes a croissant enjoyable. Disappointing for the price.
The pasties here are yummy, the staff are friendly and the shop is clean. They have a large selection of items to choose from on the menu. Seating is available for dining in.
This new bakery cafe in First Canadian Place has a famous ancestor in Michel's Baguette which used to be in the TD Centre across from McEwan. The chicken salad sandwich remains the same and is worth every penny. Be sure to get it on a toasted sesame bun. And get the egg loaf bread to have at home later. Ask for an unsliced loaf so you can cut an extra thick slice for yourself to have with nothing but butter. Bon appetit!
Went here after work and noticed it finally opened. There is a sit in cafe area which is clean and modern. Staff was nice and served me quickly. I ordered the chocolate almond croissant for $5. They currently have a store opening coupon promo - $2 off a pastry with beverage purchase. Pastries are buy 5 get the 6th free.
